That sounds like the life!
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

I don't understand the people who have enough self-discipline to work at home. All my toys are at home, and my kitties are at home. When I try to work from home I might get something important that needed to be done that day done, otherwise I just get distracted by fun things.

It all depends on the job. I am trying to get a job as a Medical Transcriptionist right now, which is an at-home job where you take calls from doctors and transcribe their statements into a system for their reference. There, you can't really slack off, because you have to take the call....in the interim though...anything goes!

I drive 5 minutes to a park and ride, walk 7 minutes to a bus, then it's a 30 minute bus ride, traffic willing.

Yeah, I could definitely see being able to do that one. You'd have to put Dark Souls on hold until after your shift, as that is not a game you want to try to play while on the phone.

I suppose if I work on my sexy voice I could do phone sex, which would be similar working conditions.

When I use to, I used my roll top desk as my office. It is in my wife's sewing room so there were no toys in the room. After I finished the work day, I would roll down the desktop and walk away. Then again, if it was a slowday, I would bring in a second pc and play FTL or Civ2 on it while working on the other computer.

I don't have a job, which confuses me, since I've been looking for work. Who wouldn't want to hire my charming personality? :?

To get to school, though, is all of a fifteen minute walk. It's right down the street from my house.

My current commute is 45 minutes to an hour depending upon the weather. My last commute was 5 minutes so it's not enjoyable.

Depending on the circumstances, I can get to work in about an hour and a half!

I live in Mexico and travel every day across the border into the good ole US of A.

My current home town of Mexicali is right on the border with Calexico, California.

It takes me about 15-20 minutes from my home, all the way to the border checkpoint.

Since I have a SENTRI pass, I can take the fast lane across the border and cross to the US in about 10-15 minutes.

This particular border checkpoint is just outside of town, and it exits out on some county backroads. I then take a freeway and exit out on some more country roads. This road takes me all the way to a mall where I work at.

The mall is located in a town called El Centro. This mall is in between El centro and Calexico.

Granted, to get to work, I'm taking these backroads at 75-80MPH, but I've been lucky and I rarely see any cops! But I really try not to go that fast. Only on special circumstances.

These are the things that can delay me;

Crappy Mexican Roads/ Mexican Traffic/Accidents: The asphalt layers on the roads are pathetically thin. Lazy beaurocrats claim to use the budget to fix roads, but they dont. It takes one rainstorm to dissolve the road and bring back ancient potholes, that may have not been fixed in the first place. People drive crazy here, but its still decent. Not compared to worse assholes that drive like maniacs in other larger Mexican cities.

Extra Long lines at the border: Here is where my first world problem comes along! My SENTRI card allows me to bypass the normal border crossing lanes. I took a background check, paid a little extra and sweared and oath to the US government saying that I was a "Trusted" crosser. I wont have anything illegal on me. Normal people crossing the border have to wait close to an hour or two to get across. But the fast lane lets me get right through! But even then there may be a slowdown and I may have to wait a little longer. This is especially true on the weekends. There is more volume of people crossing with SENTRI passes and sometimes and I may have to wait about half an hour up to 40 minutes.

Government Inspections: Since I have SENTRI, I have to submit to some random inspections. I get one at least once a month. I am sent to a secondary inspection. A US customs officer or BP agent take my ID, sentri pass and insurance papers and spend between 15 minutes to 30 minutes. doing background checks. I either have to wait in my car or stand outside of it while the agents inspect my vehicle for contraband. Its the price I have to pay to cross in the fast lane. You guys will be surprized how many 'trusted' people get caught with narcotics like this. Its jail time and fines for these idiots. Not to mention getting revoked!

But I'm used to it. I have to. Because in a few months its gonna get DAMN HOT! I've done it in the past where you have to wait in your car in 110 degree weather for two hours in the summer just to get to work. Cars can and will breakdown.

So really I do try to leave home earlier than I should to get to work. But if worse comes to worse, I can really can make it to work in about 45 minutes if these three main delays dont stop me.

That little fastpass card is a f*cking lifesaver! They last about five years and mine's up for renewal this July.

and this is my commute to work.
