I have never seen that happen. Mine believes that Happy Feet 2 for the DS and Madden 04 are worth $12. I did get a Sega Genesis 2 for $10 but it was missing the plug and AV cord - I only picked it up because I use it as a display model (I did get a plug and AV cord). Hell, they have a nice Odyssey 2 bundle (games and whatnot) but it's $120-$130.

I had better luck at Goodwill but they're clamping down and going with CIB/BIN prices - They even started locking the games and consoles up.
Systems Owned: NES, Sega Genesis (Non-TMSS), Game Boy, Game Gear, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis (Model 2), PlayStation, N64, Sega Dreamcast, GBA SP, Xbox, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, PSP, Nintendo 3DS

I know what you're saying. I do visit other Sally Ann locations in the general region and they are never priced even remotely as cheap as the one in my home town. However, this location does not open on the weekends and they close at 4:15 during the week. For someone who works full time, this can make it REALLY difficult to shop there. I can really only check it out if I take a day off work. That can be pretty annoying.

"Non-working" Magnavox Odyssey²: FREE

Image

It technically functions, but the end of the (non-removable) TV cable is frayed so it's difficult to make a solid connection. Maybe someday I'll learn how to do an AV mod or something.

Thankfully, I already have a fully-functional Odyssey², and I was happy to get the box.

Missed out on a really nice boxed one of those a while back. Saw it one weekend and wasn't sure if it was a fair price so I held out and it was gone the next weekend :P. Buyer must have missed the manual though since I found it buried in a pile of games. Got it for free :).

bone, you can just use any standard RF cable and a switchbox-eliminator adapter and it'll work just fine. take that sucker apart and you'll see what i mean. that proprietary RF cable isn't necessary at all.

basically one of these:

Holy crap you're right!!!

I do have one of those cables that I swap back and forth between my Atari 2600 Junior, Atari 7800, and Model 2 Tandy Color Computer. I suppose I should order another one for this Odyssey².

I found a Sonic 2 Gamegear cartridge in the toy isle at Goodwill today. Unfortunately it was $3.30 with tax so it wasn't even worth buying. I also found one of those Sega Genesis Plug n' Play that I probably paid more than I should have. :?

That's because people steal the discs out of the cases.

i have one that had the exact same issue (cord was shot) and i got it working using that method. now to just find some controllers, since Atari joysticks use a completely different pinout :/
