It's very nice. We park at the Carlisle Iron Works Furnace and pick up the AT across the rail tracks. Junior loves roaming the fields before the trail breaks into the forest.

I like places that have some kind of historical significance.

Have you ever been to Catoctin Furnace in MD? It's very close the the zoo.

I have. We visited Cunningham Falls with some friends a few summers back. Gorgeous area.

Cookie actually grew up in the town right by there. We go down there periodically to visit her brother and his family.
