(16 March 2014 update)
Anyone like 8-bit style music? I've been trying to create it.
(Edit 19 Jan 2014)
Here's two more:
"Title Screen"
"Gotta Jet"
(Edit 16 March 2014)
I made another one:
I made some chiptunes
I made some chiptunes

Re: I made some chiptunes
I don't know that much about making chiptunes, but being a retro gamer, I obviously have heard tons of 8 bit music and the likes of it. So here goes...
I really like the first one (more than the second). Brings back memories of many of the pokemon songs. Sounds really pokemon-ey. (Thats a good thing
)
The second one is good too, but it sounds more like a regular instrumental turned into 8-bit music (at least thats what I think, but again, not a bad thing)
What program do you use to make them?

Sounds like you have a pretty decent command over making instruments. I like both tunes and they remind me more of actual video game music rather than standalone tracks a chiptune artist might make.

I used 'Rytmik retrobits'. It's a little $8 app you can buy on the Nintendo DS e-shop.
Re: I made some chiptunes
That's pretty cool. I wish I had an imaginative drive to do similar stuff.. if you ask me I wish for more 16-bit FM synth-style material as 8-bit has been overdone to death. Think Ripple dot Zero for instance.
Thy ban hammer shalt strike

I made another chip tune
You can listen to it here:
There's a couple more of these on my YouTube channel. I've been using the Nintendo DSi app "Rytmik Retrobits" to crank out one every couple months or so.

Pretty cool, Anayo. I feel like I'm at an ending screen or a world map when listening to this.
The only criticism I have is when you're doing harmonies on those runs, there's a bit of stuff out of key. I'm a big fan of discordant and weird sounding music, but I think it detracts from some of the catchy-ness. Either way, I still like it!

2 more chip tunes of mine
I've been screwing around with a little Nintendo DSi app called "Rytmik Retrobits". These are two recent 8-bit tunes I came up with using it.
Re: I made some chiptunes
Here ya go. Merged topic with all your chip tunes in one place.
