I absolutely love Excel Saga, let me know what you think of it when you get the chance to watch it.
Excel Saga is also one of my favorites. It's very energetic and hilarious, to say the least.
Yeah, I am just now getting back into my anime. I lost interest for a while (personal reasons...). Now I am wanting to actually watch them.

I get you, that happens to me sometimes too. Sometimes I'll watch like 3 episodes a day, then go months without watching any.

Same here. I think before I watched Samurai Champloo again this past Summer, I hadn't watched any for something like 4 years. But since then I've watched through Mushishi for a second time, started my first viewing of FMA: Brotherhood, and taken a trip down memory lane with the original Pokemon series on Netflix. Not sure why exactly, but anime is definitely something I'm either watching a lot of or none at all for.

Fourthed. Excel Saga is friggin amazing. The episode that parodied American animation just slayed me. Also the pseudo-serious twist toward the end when it looked like for a split second the show might stop being so silly... I love stuff like that.

I caught up on Hunter x Hunter recently, and I have to say, this show is one of the best I've ever seen. Granted, I haven't watched an insane amount of anime either.

This show has almost anything you want from an anime: amazing character development, humor, great fights, and strategic thinking to keep your mind blown.

Highly Recommended.

If anyone knows of another anime similar to this, let me know, cause I want to watch it.

The past few months, I've finished Gurren Lagann, which, WOW, YES, highly recommend. It's really as good as everyone says it is (if you've heard anyone talk about it... haha.)

I've also watched through Fate/Zero, which I also thought was awesome. Gilgamesh fighting Alexander the Great fighting King Arthur, all over the Holy Grail? Yes please.

I've seen the first two episodes - I'm definitely going to get into it after I catch up on Game of Thrones, which is what I'm watching at the moment.

Been slowly going through some big name shows. Finished FMA: Brotherhood recently. It was incredibly awesome. Easily the best anime I've seen so far.

Right now I'm watching Yu Yu Hakusho. It's okay. Stories seem to move at light speed. The first 20 or so episodes have seen the start and end of like 6 mini arcs. Are there any big arcs I should be expecting soon? Or is the whole show going to be like this?

There's a giant arc coming up, about 50 episodes. starts in the mid-twenties.

YYH and FMAB are two of my favorite anime, with YYH having the distinction of "the TV show I will always love the most forever". Good on ya! Good taste! :p
