Agreed, the follow-up by that director is good too The Princess and the Warrior (Der Krieger und die Kaiserin)!Hobie-wan wrote:Just a quickie to toss in, I love Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt). Everything about the movie is kinetic with small stops for a breather. The pacing, the visuals, and the soundtrack all combine really nicely.

If you guys liked Run Lola Run, check out Blind Chance. Run Lola Run got a lot of inspiration from it. Basically, both movies have 3 outcomes based on an event, and there are many more similarities too. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084549/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1Stark wrote:Agreed, the follow-up by that director is good too The Princess and the Warrior (Der Krieger und die Kaiserin)!Hobie-wan wrote:Just a quickie to toss in, I love Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt). Nice. The pacing is a bit slower and the soundtrack isn't as memorable, but the plot more than makes up for it.Hobie-wan wrote:Will note it for future checking.insanecow0 wrote:If you guys liked Run Lola Run, check out Blind Chance. Let The Right One In
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy
Old Boy
I Saw The Devil
Hero
House of Flying Daggers
Mother
These are all FANTASTIC movies. I Saw The Devil has got to be one of the coolest concepts for a thriller/horror movie I've ever seen. A guy's wife gets killed by a serial killer. Guy finds out who the killer was, but instead of killing in revenge, he stalks the killer. Every time the killer is about to kill some one else, the guy stops the killer, beats him nearly to death and then drops him off at the hospital. Eventually the killer becomes so paranoid that it drives his crazy. I think it's on Netflix right now, you should definitely check it out.

Let The Right One In is the Swedish version of Let Me In. While I loved them both, I think that LTROI is a bit better.insanecow0 wrote: Mother was awesome, will check out the rest. Especially interested in I Saw The Devil and Let The Right One In.

Re: Favorite foreign films?
If you liked those two movies... You really need to watch Akira Kurosawa's masterpiece Rashomon from 1950. This is the original idea that inspired both films. Each of the characters witnessed a crime, but are any of them telling the truth? Watch the movie play out from different view points and decide for yourself.Hobie-wan wrote:Will note it for future checking.insanecow0 wrote:If you guys liked Run Lola Run, check out Blind Chance. Should've watched a Kurosawa film a long time ago anyways. Thanks for the info.samsonlonghair wrote:If you liked those two movies...
