Came up way shy of beating the game, but I recruited Lepant, and I'm about to help out Kirkis.

The Saturn version is starting to really bug me. I've kind of gotten used to the obscene load times, but now I'm starting to notice all kinds of sound bugs, and this weird thing where characters are turned around with their backs to the camera during cutscenes. Coming out of Lepant's manor was comical, really, as my main character walked backwards into the roulette wheel. There are all kinds of audio bugs, where the BGM just disappears, or just the completely wrong sound effect plays for whatever reason. Actually, I'm almost curious if this has something to do with the Action Replay. I should try the game out on my JP Saturn just to find out. Anyway, the apparent laziness in porting the game is a bit irritating. It looks really nice (seems quite a bit sharper than the PS1 version) and I dig the opening animation that was added to the Saturn version. The bugs, and weird night/fog/elemental rune hue effects are just so aggravating, and take me out of the experience pretty quickly.

I'm going to have to play the PS1 version again after this, just so I can get a really good feel for the differences. I'm almost certain that some of the tracks in the Saturn version are ever so slightly re-worked.

Another thing that gets my goat is that the BGMs always fade out and fade back in after changing screens EXCEPT in Toran Castle. I have no idea how this could be.

I'm in. Playing it on psx. Just unlocked headquarters. Made it like 3/4 of the way through this game like 15 yrs ago, never got a chance to finish it. Fingers-crossed.

I think you need to jump through hoops to get it on the Vita. You can't download it directly from the store; I've heard doing the transfer from PS3 to Vita works for it.

Ah, that's lame. I'll report how to get it done. I believe John was planning on playing on Vita as well.

I'm in as well. I'll be starting in a few days, most likely this weekend. I've only ever played it on the ps1, so I think i'll play it on the ps3 for this go around.

Soooo, why does the dragon sound like an elephant?

Heh, anyway, I started playing tonight. Put in 2 hours, level 10 and just made it to the town of Sarady.

I'm really enjoying it so far, and the music is fantastic.
