I have a pc with hdmi capabilities and i hooked it up to my flatscreen with an hdmi/dvi connector. My problem is that every once in a while i hear static coming from the flatscreen speakers, i know it must be coming from the comp because when i play dvds or hook up my game consoles i don't hear anything, But when i put on the hdmi channel which is connected to the pc i get the static hiss every so often, My audio from the comp is connected to bose speakers and i never hear anything come from them either. Am i going crazy? lol. The computer is not next to the flatscreen, i dont have anything next to it that might cause the issues mentioned.
Any answer is appreciated, thanks.

So let me get a better understanding of your setup.
You have a DVI/HDMI cable coming from the computer going into the TV. Do you have anything connected to the audio jack on the TV, the one that you would put your PC audio through if you weren't using the speakers? If you don't, try just plugging in something with a 3.5 mm jack and see if that fixes it. If you do have something already plugged in, what is it?

Yes, my hdmi cable is attached to my video card and i have a hdmi/dvi port that connects to the flatscreen, I dont have any audio connected to the t.v at all, the audio comes thru a seperate speaker system.

I really don't understand. Where is the sound coming from?
Does the static remain or does it fade away after a while?Maybe you are using a strange resolution? Maybe try and set the refresh rate of your pc to 60 hz.
Or make a video and post it on youtube, the post about it on avforums.

By static I assume you mean pink noise, yes?
Or are you just talking about a high frequency hum/buzz?
IF it's the latter then it's your TV expecting an audio signal and not receiving one from the 3.5mm jack input. The buzz is caused by a very poor quality connector that isn't grounded. You can't do anything to fix this unless you plug a cable into it.
