I don't see why they feel the need to change them at this point. I like the blue they have going for PS4/Vita cases but it just feels pretty stupid to change up the PS3's designs at this point.

They're gonna buy a PS3 game thinking it going to work in the PS4?
Maybe its just a push to get consumers to get the PS4 anyways?
Thats what I was saying earlier why bother making them look similar if you can't play PS3 titles on your PS4 . You bring up a good point as well undoubtedly there are going to be some parents or none observant people who pick up PS3 games with the new design thinking they are PS4 compatible games .
Hell, there are still people around who refer to all video games as "Nintendo tapes." Good thing there are helpful Game Advisors at your local GameStop to assist in these kinds of crises.
So after giving it a good long thinkin' I actually kinda like this.
Taking a look at my game shelf, I have 5 games that are in different sized packaging from being in some kind of cardboard slip case or box instead of just the standard blu-ray case. Then I have 4 games in the red Greatest Hits package. Then I have 6 that are the old fashioned PS3 cases with the Spiderman text. Then there's the Ico/SotC collection which I flipped the cover on and now has no logo at all.
Personally I've always enjoyed a line up of cases that looks random in size and color. It reminds me of a book shelf. So if I can add in some blue labeled boxes it'll just look even more random and fun. At least for me.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.
