What was the last movie you've seen?

300: Rise of an Empire 3D

It was exactly what I expected. I enjoyed the experience but it certainly didn't shake the foundations of my movie enjoying existence.

Sorry but I have to disagree. EVERY scene with a slow-mo horse in it was a mindblowingly stupendous piece of cinematography in every way.

This movie was great because it gave absolutely no shits about even trying to adhere to the normal laws of physics, biology, common sense and morality. It was a over-gratuitous, male-catered blood orgy of senselessness.... and I loved every second of it.

I didn't need to turn my brain off for this one. It ripped my brain out and beat it to death with a tac hammer within 30 seconds of the opening credits. 8) I also find Eva Green extremely attractive.

I just came back from 300: Rise of an Empire

I couldn't wait to leave the theater. This is movie making without a brain, or common sense. But perfect for boys going through puberty. It has everything for them:
Boobs
Sex
Lines like "You fight harder than you fuck"
Five minutes of Xerxes
A shitty ending that only says "We've got another 300 coming at ya".
Dust, lots of floating dust
Raspberry jam flying all over the place
Yelling and screaming
Slow-mo violence
Super slow-mo violence
Shitty acting from just about everyone
Battles on boats
Horses on boats
Gun powder 'splosions
I'm going to steal a line that a critic said about another movie and it's sequel, and ad in 300.

"If 300 was a video game, Rise of an Empire is the DLC".

Hmm I like Eva Green. But you kind of know what movie it will be from the source and the previews. It is an action eye candy movie.

If you consider Synder's constant slow mo to fast mo stuff "eye candy". Got boring really quickly for me. And the blood and dust were visually distracting.

Did you have same thoughts for the forst movie? It helps me put it in pespective if I may like it or not.

I put movies in perspective. I appreciate thoughtful, clever, original movies, but I also enjoy cheesey action movies as well. I enjoyed the first 300.

I liked 300 when it was first released, as I had never seen anything quite like it. Saw it again a few years ago and could only think "Okay, I get it. Enough already".

This is just more of the same stuff. Nothing really new that is interesting or exciting.

Luke, are you suggesting you didn't LOVE Themistocles SECRET weapon on the ship? The BEST secret weapon in the history of movies, that had such build up and turned out to be...
a HORSE (albeit a magical, flying, aquatic horse that is not afraid of raging inferno and sharp weaponry in any way)
ARE YOU TELLING ME THIS RIGHT NOW?

It's become increasingly clear that Luke has turned into a complete snob who turns his nose up at everything the common man can understand.
