I just got Kirby 20th anniversary for the wii at gamestop for 22.00. The reason why I got it was it was complete as if it was brand new. The game, music cd and the outer shell case and book. Usually gamestop throw all that out. You know if you get the right store with the right games you can get a ton of games for like 50.00.

As I just found out... it IS a lot of fun! I could probably waste hours and hours just by myself, but I'd imagine it being a lot more fun with other people.

I just need to get another light gun thing. I've actually been meaning to pick one up for the longest time. I want the Nyko Perfect shot, or something similar that doesn't suck, for House of the Dead type rail shooters. That game Ghost Squad that I just picked up is a perfect example. I'm glad I got the Zapper, but I'm hoping the larger GameStop will have the Perfect Shot.

But yeah, Link's Crossbow Training is a hell of a lot of fun. Definitely worth 44 cents, I would have easily paid twice that amount!

I'm still surprised that the rarest game in my Wii collection is Dokapon Kingdom :P. Picked it up on a whim when I first got my Wii for around $10-15. Never could talk anyone in to playing it with me so I played through one very long game session and that was it :P. Now it's demanding $50+ :P.

Snagged Arc Rise Fantasia for $17.99 at game stop today. It probably takes the position of second rarest Wii game in my library was happy to find that it was complete as well :).

Did I miss something? Is GameStop liquidating Wii games? If so I need to make some stops.

There are three Gamestop's near me, but sadly it seems two of them have been picked clean or not gotten anything good.

ONe more, hopefully 3rd time's the charm.

They are getting dangerously close to the point at which they start trashing the cases :P. I picked up a ton of games under $5 today I'm going back out to hit the other stores in the area tomorrow.

Managed to reserve another copy of Arc Rise Fantasia that I located nearby as well as a copy of Phantom Brave: We Meet Again($5).

You know at one time I owned almost every game listed on page 30 on this thread. But when I started to realize that I wasn't playing them and saying ha look what I own to actually no one because no one seen my collection lol I sold everything once I got the 360 and used the money for my kids on Christmas.
Now I'm picking up only games I know I will play. I don't want any rare titles like fire emblem or donkopon kingdowm or guilty gear xx plus. If I find them at a flea market cheap then cool but I just want games that are common and fun.
The wii is a good system. Many hidden gems and many fun quirky games. Everyone is right though. Right now is the time to buy games. I would like to find games complete but I don't even care anymore about complete games. if I can get disk only then cool. Awe who am I kidding I gotta have it complete.
Advice for getting common Nintendo based games go on ebay. I find it cheaper that the local retro game store and gamestop. I could of had Mario party 8 for 9.00 on ebay but I know ill never play the thing so I said forget it but gamestop and the local store I go to was selling it at 30.00

Yeah, Crossbow is excellent. Plus the gun case that comes with it keeps the nunchuck perfectly stable, which makes it a lot easier for me to play most of the rail shooters.

Well, looking the prices my Wii games are going for on ebay, I see no monetary value in them...yet. Yet?

This forum and others places have gotten me interested in cheap Wii games. When prices of $3-10 are typical, I think it pays to build a nice little library at least. Games I've bought and enjoyed:

Excitebots 2
Red Steel 2
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Ghost Squad

Haven't tried yet:
Cursed Mountain
MadWorld

Games I would've never paid $30-40 for but they're fun. I got the Slickfire pistol for Ghost Squad, and it works well enough though it's pretty wide.

There are a few with some value - Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime Trilogy, My Horse & Me Riding Adventure ( ) - but most Wii games are still pretty affordable. Once GameStop liquidates its inventory, however, I expect the prices on some of these games to creep up. (Just like the prices on the rarest PS2 games - such as Rule of Rose - have crept up in the last year.)

This. I have a library full of games I never would have purchased for full price, but well-reviewed, full-featured console games for less than the price of an iPhone app are very hard to resist!
