PlayStation 3 Box Design Undergoing Change....Again

At first it didn't bug me, but after i thought about it more it does. Now there are three different designs for PS3 cases. If you have a lot of PS3 over its life span its going to look weird.

Yeah not a big fan of this . I could understand if the PS4 was backwards compatible with the PS3 and you might possibly keep the games together however that's not the case . Also not a big fan of the blue color wish they had just stuck with the good old black labels.

Love the blue colour scheme. Not such a fan of the fact that PS3 collections now look very hideous as a result of having not just two box schemes but 3.

That annoyed me about the Dreamcast when I was buying games for it as well. Especially since the white scheme was so nice.

And now TCP will work on custom cover's for a lot of early PS3 games so they can have matching art on every box...

Why do this? Is there some kind of demand for it? What a pain in the ass. I'm just going to buy some cheap, crappy PS3 games and then switch out the cases.

Eh, oh well. My PS3 collection already looks wacky enough as it is, why not add another color and all... lol. As long as the cases are the same shape, I don't really care here.

I don't think it's a good idea to make it look nearly the exact same as the PS4 though, needs to be more distinguished.

The cover is the same size as current PS3 slips. So, I doubt they're also changing the case. If they switch it to some blue case I'd be annoyed.

I don't think the blue banner is necessarily an improvement. The only banner design I didn't like was the original PS3 stuff, it was just horrendous.

This just seems silly. Like to make them seem more current or something.

This isn't the first time Sony has done this, though.
They altered PSP banners to match PS3's first redesign too. Not that many people noticed.
