thats $30-$50 , and another $10-20 for shipping at least. I just want to use my Dreamcast. Ebay prices are going crazy, I just checked the same game for NGC its arounf $40 , really? People are turning super greedy or tens of thousands of people are hoarding. If anything prices should be going down because potential buyers could have bought many of the games digitally on Steam, PSN, XBL, VC ... not to mention pirating.

A close friend of mine has a tv big enough to be a smart board. We turned off "motion flow" (or something like that), we turned on 4:3, we turned on "Video Game mode", he also did some other stuff concerning frame rate, and Ninja Gaiden (nes) still played like butt. At least an entire one second delay. Unplayable.

I was reading an article about the Wii U struggling (that's not what this post is about though) and I was reading through the comments like an idiot. Something I've noticed, and that I don't understand, is people continue to claim the 3DS is selling poorly. Why? The Wikipedia article says it's shipped 42 million as of Dec. 31 '13, and it's only been out for about two and a half years. That is in no way a failure. At the same point in the Xbox 360's life, it had sold 19 million.

It is all relative and perspective. It isnt selling as well as was expected. Nintendo had to reduce sales forecasts. So some will take that to mean it is selling poorly. Most comenters dont know what they are talking about anyway.

The Civ games are a helluva drug. I have not played one seriously in a decade, but Friday I installed Civ3 from the Humble Bundle a few weeks ago. It was about 1800 when I started, the mighty Aztecs on an 8 player match on medium. Quickly the Portuguese fell to my Jaguar warriors, then a lack of Iron and later Coal held me back for most of the game. Then I realized it was 0130 Saturday. Now I played some Civ1, and alot of Civ2, however Civ3 came out at a bad time for me, but it has been awhile since a game has made 6+ hours pass as if it was a few minutes.

I played most of another game on Saturday night, and then started a new campaign on Sunday in the Warhammer mod. My Skaven took out most of the Dwarves and Arabs in the first age while setting up small cities around the entire continent, and is now sitting back and colonizing the inside while building improvements and wonders. Automating workers is the best thing to be added to the series hands down. Now I am kinda upset I did not buy Civ5 in that bundle...

You should have gotten Civ 5. I feel like Civ 2 and Civ 3 added a lot to the previous games that makes them worth playing, but Civ 4 was kinda meh. Civ 5, though, completely overhauled so much while still maintaining that Civ feel.

Though Alpha Centauri is still the best Civ game ever.

I have never won a game of it, but I agree.

I dumped hundreds of hours in playing Civ 3 back in the day, it's seriously one of the most addictive games I've ever played. Combat isn't well balanced though - there are actually times when a spearman could technically beat modern armor. The insanity!

I'm also a fan of Galactic Civilizations, but only because it lets me play as Squirrel people.

Anyway, my roommate and my brother recently discovered the No More Room in Hell mod for the Source engine. I'm generally tired of the zombies trope in video games, but this one is specifically inspired by George Romero's Living Dead films. And I gotta say, I'm impressed at how much it genuinely reminds me of them. More than once I've stopped to remark about how some aspect reminds me of Day of the Dead or Dawn of the Dead, and there's at least one map that is the house from Night of the Living Dead.

I'm still sick of zombies, but this game is both challenging and reminds me of the genre's humble indie beginnings. I applaud it.
