Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
The photo probably looks like crap but I'm posting from my phone. Got a few games this month that I have been wanting for a while but the prices were just too steep to justify. I took a good look at my collection and picked a number of higher end titles (all thrift store finds) that I knew I'd never really enjoy and some other games and systems I had doubles of and sold them off to pay for these. Somehow, I f'd up and got 2 copies of Contra Force not paying attention to what I had already bought but not the worst game to have a double of. My goal over the next 2 months is to purge some more unwanteds for a reasonably priced Little Samson and/or Panic Restaurant.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Really? Amazon lists a used 160GB model for 145, basically I got the games for $1 each. I thought it was a good deal.wclem wrote:Not the deal of the year, but you did decent. Lot of solid titles though, you could sell off a few to recoop money since you do not seem interested in playing a lot of them. You may want to give Far Cry 3 a chance though.
I played Far Cry on oXbox, it was more of a graphics showcase than a game, it was very empty and very easy.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
You got a good deal about the lowest I have seen functional PS3s go for in the area is $100 and your lot included some really solid games which still have a market value of over $10 piece.
Definately give Skyrim and Far Cry 3 a shot they are much improved over the previous games on the original Xbox and are well worth playing. Skyrim is probably one of the best Open World Fantasy RPGs I have ever played.

Which ones are duplicates because I see some that I would be interested in buying.Fragems wrote:Another mountain of stuff today thanks to the PSP 3001 bundle lot I got off eBay.
Still some good games in there and plenty of duplicates that I can resale to recoup some of the money.

Alright the great raid is over lol. Hit three gamestops, biglots, and the tristate pawn up in Ashland, Kentucky. The gamestops up there turned out to be a honey hole for Wii and PSP games
.
Gamestop #1 Tristate Crossing Southpoint, OH
One of the closer gamestops which as usual didn't have much and what they did have was disc only
. Sucks that the closest game stops to me seem to focus on newer games and seem to have an aversion to keeping cases. Clerk was really nice though and he helped me track down all the games on my list.

Gamestop #2 Ashland Freestanding Ashland, KY
This gamestop had the nicest floor layout of any store I have seen yet and they had an amazing amount of Wii and PSP games. Definately need to stop back in there next time I am in the area. Clerks about died when I started carrying up stacks of games lol they were cool dudes though
.

Gamestop #3 Ashland Town Center Ashland, KY
I used to dread this place and I still kind of do. I don't know why but this place draws in clerks who don't seem to want to be there
. Took me 8 minutes to get waited on and another 20 minutes to get the game I had reserved for pick up
. Game I reserved was for the DS and someone had folded it up in the pick up slip which was then stapled and shoved it to the very back of the drawer
the clerk ended up going through their entire ds inventory before going back to the pick up drawer and finding it.

Biglots Ashland, KY stop #4
This was the store that I found all the RE wii games at but they were bone dry. All that was left was some Michael Felps game and Top Spin for the three sixty as well as a copy of Megamind for the DS
.
Tristate Pawn and Jewelry Ashland, KY.
This is my favorite pawn chain ever. I hit their stores in Huntington once or twice a week. This store is the best price wise though with PS2, Xbox, and GC games only being $2. Last gen games are still sitting at $8 but I'm expecting them to drop to $5 or lower in the next year or so. Was really excited to snag a like new copy of GTA V for $8. Bought a copy for the 360 a few weeks back for $24 at the same store no clue why they didn't bother pricing this one up
.
Older games were $2 a piece and last gen games + PSP were $8.

Duplicates although I might be swapping them with what I currently have depending on condition.Frag Mortuus wrote:Which ones are duplicates because I see some that I would be interested in buying.Fragems wrote:Another mountain of stuff today thanks to the PSP 3001 bundle lot I got off eBay.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
It didn't click with me the first time I tried it, but I played through it recently and loved it. It is, IMO, the best Wii-exclusive 2D platformer. (Disclaimer: I have not played either DKCR or Kirby: Return to Dreamland.)Fragems wrote:This is actually the second copy I have picked up in the last yearprfsnl_gmr wrote:Wario Land: Shake It! is boss. . The animation is simply amazing.
