I have the PS3 version pre-ordered, but I want just X on Vita as well. Does anyone know if X will be available by itself either digitally or physically?

It wont be cheaper than 40, atleast not until a sale or price cut. I am pretty sure they are a package.Frag Mortuus wrote:I have the PS3 version pre-ordered, but I want just X on Vita as well. Does anyone know if X will be available by itself either digitally or physically?

I thought they were separate on the Vita. Maybe I'm wrong.Jmustang1968 wrote:It wont be cheaper than 40, atleast not until a sale or price cut. I thought so as well. Also, seeing how the MGSHD collection could be bought separate made me think these could be as well.Stark wrote:I thought they were separate on the Vita. Honestly, I'm gonna grab a used vita copy (or new if the prices drops significantly) eventually. Another "I don't care about x-2" post.
(Nothing against x-2, I've read the combat is good, but it just doesn't interest me.)

Leaving out X2 HD on the actual game card makes sense economically for SQEX, sure. They can use a smaller cheaper memory card to store only X HD on, sans X2 HD. Then the end user gets to eat the piddly cost SQEX saved... by needing a larger proprietary Vita memory card to download X2 HD to.Jmustang1968 wrote:It really pissed you off? It makes sense really. The Vita is a digital-centric device and there was probably some economical factors that decided this.
Why stop there SQEX? Why not make X HD a required download too? That would really save you money in production card cost. Players just boot the X/X2 HD card up and it simply displays the download codes for both games. And that's all it does! Genius. I should work for SQEX.
tl;dr Yes it pissed me off.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Or they couldve not made it available on the Vita at all like the vast majority of all other HD remasters. I am thankful for the option.

Luckily, I have no urge to play X2 whatsoever. Otherwise, it's kind of annoying, but it's better than having them sold separately at the same price.
Own: Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii U, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, Xbox 360

Yep. No sense in being upset at having more options.Jmustang1968 wrote:Or they couldve not made it available on the Vita at all like the vast majority of all other HD remasters. I am thankful for the option.
Until they announced the physical package everyone pretty much assumed it was going to be download only on Vita.
