But I wanted something a little more updated, perhaps of some legit stores that sell them and some newer flash carts released.
I know you have a Everdrive and a Mega Everdrive. I would go with either one, because I just want to play games.
Only thing bad I see about these Everdrives is that the demand for them is HIGH. Sold out from the listings I have seen and they unusually go for $150, from the more recent ones I saw. So I was curious if there are other names I should look after.
Also, just a couple of questions regarding Genesis Flash Carts:
1) Do they play like the original games? The only flash carts I have ever owned were for my Nintendo handhelds, which play games like the original with no loss at all. But, I'd assume handheld flash carts are easier to make so they might operate better compared to a Genesis. I wouldn't want a Genesis flash cart that plays games like crap.
2) Can games that have save functionality be used for saves (like Sonic 3 or a sports game), or would I have to buy a Mega Everdrive for any save functionality?
- If I understand correctly, a Mega Everdrive just allows for save states (like an emulator). If that's the case, I would just buy a plain regular Everdrive or other flash carts if it's cheaper and more available.

Check out Ziggy's thread: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 44&t=36353
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

Also, here is the Genesis FC I have: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shi ... 82081.html
It works pretty well and not expensive at all for the number of games it will allow you to play.

Re: Buying a Genesis Flash Cart in 2014
It's pretty rare to see bad performance from a flash cart. Supercard had versions with slow memory, that GBA's more demanding games didn't like (forget about F-Zero Climax
).
For Genesis I've just got an old Everdrive whose Megakey feature is defective. Hence mine cannot region lock bypass.
Saving works for normal games, Mega Man Wily Wars you have to patch as usual.

Thanks for this recommendation. You mind giving me a quick review? I was scanning over the reviews, but a lot seem to be 5 star one liners probably left by the website. And a lot are written in broken English.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:Also, here is the Genesis FC I have: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shi ... 82081.html

One person said they cannot put SMD roms, only BIN roms. Did you have a problem like this?
