Kelsoanim's Game Room/Closet and Collection - 2014 edition!

Post by kelsoanim »

Hey guys, I just got my game room to a point where I want to share it. My wife and I bought a house a year and a half ago and I was granted a small bedroom for my game room. It's a small bedroom, but I am making the most of it.

This is what I have in the room for now. I have more consoles, boxes, and games in the basement. I may add some photos of those later, but I am done taking photos for now! Lights are usually dim and the blackout curtains are closed when gaming or watching TV and movies, I just have the curtains open for the photos. Sorry if the pic quality and lighting isn't that great, I'm no photographer! :P Anyway, on to the pics.

*Almost* all of the game systems are hooked up to a TV and ready to play at the flip of the switch. I keep everything connected to the CRT one one power strip and turn it off when it's not in use so all the bricks aren't sucking power all day, and also for safety / paranoia reasons.

My TG Express has perfect picture and sound, love that thing. :)

There are more controllers (including some arcade sticks) and remotes on the shelf under the coffee table.

Thanks for looking! I'll probably update this thread later with some updates to show some of my stuff in storage.

Nice. Definitely utilizing a small space without making it look cluttered. Two thumbs up

Very nice, would look at again!

Where did you get the shelf that holds your consoles/tv's?

Definitely top notch. Nice!

Is that the highly sought after Sony CRT that does a lot?

Looks good and nothing wrong with the pictures. There's enough light and the camera was steady so you can tell what stuff is.

Thanks guys!

Hazerd: The TV stand shelves are these: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/produ ... #/20102154. I got em recently and I'm very happy with them. Very sturdy and they hold the TVs nicely. I just drilled some holes in the back for the cords and they were good to go.

Xeogred: I'm not sure of the exact model, but that's a Sony Trinitron that I got at a thrift store a while back. It's flat and has composite, s-video, coaxial and component in. I'm not sure if it's the one that is sought after, but it fills in all my check boxes for sure. Only issue I have is the geometry is just a little bit distorted but I have not had the motivation to brave the factory menus.

I love the setup. The only thing I would suggest is frames for your posters. The whole setup is just nice and concise. And that rug is so close at tying the room together.
