Re: South Park RPG
All I have to say about the game is this. Take $175 to Tom's Rhinoplasty and get the most expensive option. It changes things in the most amazing way....

I finished it.
Very enjoyable as a love letter to South Park fans as apposed to an RPG, the game is pretty easy but from begging to end I found it extremely enjoyable and really fun.

I am sad I cannot find their rendition of O Canada on youtube. All the videos are just for their version of Blame Canada.

Anyone else find the game way too easy?
EDIT:MrPopo wrote:They telegraph plenty. Hell, there's even a circle that appears on your character when you're supposed to block. I'm not sure how much more you need.
I agree, as I said above, they over telegraph.
I disagree. Play a Mario rpg and see the difference. Those games know how to telegraph. Perfect blocking is trial and error and I have seen one or two other reviews point that out as well. It's not intuitive at all. Still, once I got the timing of most attacks down after enough trial and error it became habit for me to hit the button at the right time. The combat is unpolished, but still fun once you get it down.
I had a fighter class and enjoyed spamming bull rush to attack and kill multiple enemies in a single turn with an equipment modification that gave me 10 PP points back per kill
I finished the game and enjoyed it mostly on the quality of the humor and writing. Gameplaywise, it's not that impressive, though I really enjoyed the extensive use of the environment and traps as an alternative to combat. I thought that was very cool.
I found Butters and Cartman to be my favorite support characters, and I loved how you can swap out partners negating the need to heal them, very remiscant of Final Fantasy X

Re: South Park RPG
I toppled Al Gore last night, and I am now delighted to say that , IMO, former Vice President Al Gore in one of the toughest RPG villains in any game.
I also think that my character is a bit overpowered at this point, which makes an easy game even easier, but I am still enjoying the game very much. As others have stated, it is not a great RPG - although it could be with some refinement - but it is a fantastic South Park game.

Re: South Park RPG
I finished it and found it pretty fun/quick experience. Really feels like watching the show. It seems like they were much more reserved in the thematic tone of the comedy. This one was way more focused on the fart humor vs the social satire they've taken with the show. All fine and good since it's still an impressive feat to meld an rpg to south park in a good way. As a result it felt more like I was playing a game more inline with earlier seasons than where the show is at nowadays. Tons of collectibles and references to find here but I doubt I'll delve into it any deeper.
