Ok i have played some hard games, but Rocket Knight Adventures takes the FREAKING CAKE!!! It is just brutally hard, I think i have pulled out out every hair in my head tonight from this game. Now don't get me wrong, it is an excellent game, but does it really have to be frustratingly hard? Anyone else feel my pain on this Awesome but hard as heck game?

When I was a kid, my friend had this game, and we would play it over and over and over again. Could never beat it until many years later though. Maybe I was just more of a glutton for punishment when I was younger.

??? Dude, RKA is not a hard game in the least. How are you dying? What stage are you on? Is it from bosses or normal enemies? Are you using your jet pack enough?

hmm i played it on emulator but i didnt find it too hard at all, there were a couple of stages like the mine cart stage that was annoying and took me ages to beat, but in general it was fairly easy. The final boss wasnt even too hard once you knew the pattern

I guess i am a big wuss lol....i am stuck on the fight with the first Mech, I cannot for the life of me figure out the pattern of the fight.

The first mech---in the water level? I don't remember the game well enough, it seems. That said, I used to beat it weekly. Diagonal rocket boosts are your friend. Don't get me wrong, though, it does GET hard--really hard--near the end, when you're in the collapsing caverns, and I used to have difficulties with the giant robot fight. Sooo worth it, though. One of my favorite games.

thats where i am at, i have already passed the collapsing caverns, and i am at the first giant robot. I can get like 5 hits in and then he kicks my butt with one hit

Ahh.

Yeah, it's all about timing. It's tough, but the rest of the game gets a bit easier after that, IMO.

Honestly, it's hard to complain about difficulty anymore with those available. I had a tough time with that game, then watched a video and the player did all sorts of cool stuff I hadn't even thought off.
