1-Metroid Confrontation
2-Red Dead Redemption
3-Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare
4- Bayonetta (PS3)
5- Doom 1 (Ps3) (BFG Edition)
6- The Last of Us (Ps3)
7- Condemned 2: Bloodshot (PS3)
8- Resident Evil: Revelations (Ps3)

9- King of Dragons (PSP)
10-Mercs (PSP)

Both from Capcom classic collection remixed.

On king of dragons i really like it, i tried knights of the round a few months ago for the snes and i tought this will be like but i think it is far better. First of all you can select between 5 characters and they all level but you can also get new equipment for each characters by going trought the game. Another cool feature is that after certain amount of levels the game allows you to change to another character (they will be leveled up almost at the same as the character you were playing and also have upgraded equipment) but i keep playing with the same guy, a warrior, because i like to stab things with the sword witch only consist on smashing the attack button to hit the enemies but if the enemies attack at the same time that you they will reflect your attack and you won't do any damage, you can also do this to save from a few hits if you're quick enough. There's also a block move but it is a bit tricky to do but it will greatly help you against bosses, consists in pushing the back button when you are about to get hit... maybe in not making myself very clear with that but is the best i can do to describe it and i wans't very good at doing the block move.

Moving on the game is longer than your usual arcade beat'em up (or hack'n slash) but not by much. I played around a hour and a half in total and there's still other characters to play with so there's a good amount of replability yet.

Now with mercs the game is super short... about 20 minutes... but it is hard... or cheap depending on how you feel. The only way to play this is throught quarter feeding... there's so much stuff shooting at you and even when you have a life bar you will barely feel that you have one.

There's a few more games on the collection and i'll se if i can finally beat at least one ghost and goblins game.

Yeah, I don't have any prior experience playing Double Helix games but I was just going off what I had heard.

Didn't they get bought by Amazon? I heard that they are only going to develop phone/game apps now? I hope not.

11-Silent Hill: Downpour (PS3)

Another one to the list and a good one. Take note that i didn't play any silent hill since silent hill 2 and maybe my opinions ins't the best or the most reliable. So yeah this game is awesome, i heard some bad things about this game so i think im gonna go taking them down.
The first to take down is the "bad combat"... this is a survival horror game, not a action game, the way of inmersion is done making feel the player the horror and pain in the town. How can be a survival horror if it play's like devil may cry? The setting, the ambience, the game mechanics are thoug to put the player in a situasion of despair and the manages that almost perfectly. There are sometimes where i feel i HAVE to take down my enemies since there's a puzzle around and i can't stop and think for a moment when there's a guy trying to kill me. But just in a few very specific places the rest of the game you can perfectly avoid combat, and that's actually better since the ammo is scarce... really scarce... i remember that in silent hill 1 and 2 i got enough pistol ammo for the whole game in the first two hours of the game... i barely used the rifle in any of those yet in here i NEVER found a rifle (if there's even one) i was about 80% through the game when i found my first SHOTGUN in the whole game. The rest of the time fighting, if you do it, will be melee you can grab stick's, bricks, stones, axe's, crowbar's, etc, there's a lot of stuff laying around the world so at least you can feel that you can fight but the weapons break very easily but you can thrown every weapon at your enemy (not the best idea but if you find a infinite stack of bricks you can use this at your advantage). Take note that the enemies get harder and more agresive when it's raining but you can go inside a building to cover from the rain and avoid the monsters in some buildings you will find side quests where you can get extra medkits or extra ammo or even some more insigh about the world. There's at least a docen of these in the whole world and i just finished like... 2 or 3 in my first playtrough so there's a lot of extra stuff in here.

There's 6 diferent endings on the game but you can get 2-3 on your first playthoug and reloading the save file of the final battle... keep in mind that this game has a autosave feature so you can't have 10 diferent save's in case you want to go back to a specific event.

Now the only thing that it really bother's me is the framerate... it sucks... the whole game fight to keep it stable and sometime i though the game freeze on me but it was just the lag. At first i almost dropped the game for this but after 1 or 2 hours i was really into the game so i was able to pass that issue. There's patch for the game but it didn't help me at all, i read online that for some people it helped but for others it got worse.
Overall i like this game, i wanna go back and complete the sidequests on the town to see the secrets it holds and try diferente ways to see the other endings. The game lengh is good about 8-10 hours depending on how much time you spend running around looking for sidequests.

I was hesitant at first because I had heard bad things about Double Helix, but the reviews for this were good so I took a chance on it. Man, I'm glad I did. The game is FUN! It is a "Metroidvania" which are my favorite types of games. My first playthrough was on Hard, which was a bit challenging in parts but overall wasn't too bad. Especially when you're upgraded and have different elemental cyphers. For $15, this game is a great buy.

Whoa are you serious? Loved Shiny, I love them even more now.

Microsoft dropped the ball with them. They should have rebooted Battletoads with the Killer Instinct engine. Would have been insane.

36) Star Wars Rogue Leader Gamecube *new*

If I had to rate the Star Wars games, Rogue Leader would be in the top ten, but not the top three. There's something very "Nintendo-y" about Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike that is endearing, but at the same time is a bit too polished for a Star Wars game. But Nintendo games do always seem a bit polished.

Call me nuts, but I prefer Rebel Assault on the Sega CD. Don't get me wrong, Rogue Leader is excellent. The controls aren't clunky, the graphics and sound are crisp, the attention to detail is prominent, and the levels are thrilling and everything a Star Wars fan could want. But I like the way Rebel Assault was a bit "out there". Rogue plays it safe.

A Battletoads reboot/remake makes me....well, let's just say "very excited".

Does Nintendo own the rights still? Or did they ever?

Battletoads is 100% Rare. (I think.) Nintendo does not hold any rights to the franchise, and Battletoads games appeared on the Sega Genesis and in arcades.

I just started playing it last weekend. Movie clips in the menus? Pretty neat! The hidden objectives in the training stage? Wow. Apparently it uses the system clock for day and night too? I read you have to complete all the objectives at all *4* times of day to get a special hidden ship.

FYI, Rebel Strike might seem like a bit of a let down if you pursue that game. Rogue Leader is the best of the GC series, and I'm betting you can guess what the "hidden ship" is.

Leader is phenomenal (I didn't praise it enough in my "review") but so are many Star Wars games. My "thing" with Star Wars games is that I like to be in and out of the cockpit, and although Leader totally nails a great SW flying simulator, it seems like something is missing.

But yeah, still a great game.

18. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
19. Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)

Man this was a trip, both of these games were a trial to complete, both for completely different reasons. Let's break it down shall we?

Chrono Trigger
This was my first time playing Chrono Trigger and knew little of the story besides that time travel was involved and there are multiple endings. I decided to stream this online through Twitch and get people talking about JRPGs and how they have changed over time. That was a lot of fun.

My view on the game was that it was solid, but not spectacular, although for the time, I could see it being mind bogglingly good. "Why then instead of now?" you may ask? Well, Chrono Trigger excels at creating pinpoint islands of events that really wow you and provide memorable experiences. Experiences like the Trial sequence, Robo getting beat up, Chrono's death that stand out against a myriad of passable events.

I felt like there were moments in the game that were tied together with shoestrings. For instance, Marle's sidequest where you have to make amends with her father, who is stricken a bit mad with grief. You go and get him some jerky to make him feel better and it only makes him more upset. You could leave it at that, but you can continue the quest by having to find a character and perform a series of quests for him that are completely unrelated to the task at hand, but eventually result in continuing that story arc.

I have read the long, Chrono Trigger - 18 Years Later, thread and find it incredibly interesting.

On a mechanical level, there was more that could be done with the system that would implement each character's elements in cool and unusual ways; ways that were hinted at early on like the enemy who becomes easier if you burn their hammer. I felt that this mechanic became underutilized, limiting it to having enemies be weak against magic or weak against physical attacks. I wanted more, which says a lot about the potential the game had on a mechanical level that it was honestly missing.

Don't get me wrong, the game is not bad. I enjoyed it, but it was a trial to finish and that was mostly my fault. I powered through the game, putting in about 22 hours of game time and limiting almost all of it to on-stream play. I didn't play much else so it started to really get to me having to play only one game in an attempt to finish it.

Super Mario 3D World
With Super Mario 3D World, it was a very different experience. I wanted to power through this game. My wife and I received this as a gift for Christmas, and we tend to devour these games voraciously, 100%ing them quickly and effeciently in co-op play. This time was different. My wife would never want to play as she felt the 3D aspect of it was disorienting. She had never had experience with a 3D mario before, so it was understandable, but for me it was maddening! I wanted to beat the game, but wanted to play with her so that we could enjoy our experience together. Finally, after months of playing the game in contained, short bursts, we were able to beat the game and we loved every minute of it.

There were some very challenging levels that were designed spectacularly. We found the right level of challenge and fun that really showcased the various abilities you could ge tin the game. There is a ton of content here. You can collect MiiVerse Stamps in each level that give you a pre-made piece of art that you can use to make a diorama of sorts and post on the miiverse. This has showcased a lot of strange and absurd images people have made, that are a riot to see. Add to it the green challenge stars, hidden level warps, an unlockable character, having ghost speed run challenges and more really encapsulated a positive experience.

Now, I have not played Super Mario 3D Land on the 3DS, so this was my first experience with this style of game, making it new for me, so it really was fresh and exciting to play with friends.
