Many only bought ZoE for the MGS2 demo in the first place... Konami's just letting people pay directly for the demo instead of for a game they don't care about. Plus it's $10 cheaper than ZoE was, and it sounds like it's a little longer.

Another game I could compare this to is Crackdown. No one cared about Crackdown, they wanted the Halo 3 beta. This is letting people buy the Halo 3 beta directly.

I honestly don't understand why people are so irritated about this game being short. Not every game is going to be Skyrim long. I have paid $60 for games that I have beaten in one night and then had no interest for after that. At least this game can be had for as low as $20. So, $20 for a two hour or so campaign and some side missions. This game is short enough that you can play through multiple times using different play styles and see how things pan out. Or you can take more time to look for all the different little easter eggs or what ever other secrets may be there. Also, this game isn't a demo, it's a prologue. It isn't going to retread the same story as the main game it leads up to. Hey, at least Konami was upfront about the size of the game before people went out and paid good money expecting a full MGS length game.

I, for one, will gladly pay my $30, pick it up day one and play my little ass off. Beat it before bed, wake up the next day and check out all the side missions and beat it again; and then play it again the next day and see if I missed anything.

THEN....the day before Phantom Pain comes out, I will throw this in again, beat it and be refreshed on the prologue to the main story.

I don't get all the fuss.

What's funny is there's a decent sized shmup following on this forum-- and some members actually buy arcade PCB's. You'd think the complainers would have a field day every time they post their latest purchase. "You spent how much on a twenty minute arcade game?!?!" :P

People can do what they want with there money right? id rather spend $1000 on a bunch of console games over 1 arcade PCB.

But that's just me, those consolized atomiswaves for $700 + games is crazy.

Maybe it's me but I wouldn't consider this a glorified demo thing. It reminds me more of a Sonic 3 thing. They couldn't get it all in a package and want to show something so they are releasing this part and getting the rest of the story out later.

We paid full price for Sonic 3 and it was only part of the story.

I don't have a lot of time to play games, and as a collector, my backlog is insane. The fact I can spend between 2 and 8 hours with MGSV sounds great to me, and I will definitely be picking this up.

Those people were crazy.

The first ZoE is kind of "meh" but the second game is fantastic. I would love to see another one.

MGSV: Ground Zeroes beaten in 10 minutes, S-Rank in 18 minutes:

It's just simply not worth the price. I can't justify it. Even though I've bought every other mainline MGS release on or around launch date, I am not going to support this nonsense. I'm disappointed in Konami and Kojima for expecting to extort $30 a pop from loyal fans for what is not even a very long demo.

if the game was indeed 2-3 hours long or if you needed to sink a couple of hours in to really master it, that would be at least somewhat reasonable. I can't see paying more than $10 at most for this. Most likely I'll just wait for the real MGSV to come out and hope that this is included.

Not a fan of this business practice to be honest, but I'm not butt hurt about it. Perfect game to get for cheap down the road. Hell, it might be under $10 before Phantom Pain comes out.
