Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
I don't have TTT2 or Injustice yet. So I'll try to nab em soon. Is Injustice worth the $30+ it still goes for though? I mean... is it good enough that we'll want to keep playing it? I thought MK9 was *pretty good.*

Gamestop has it for $40...with the fightstick. Sell the fightstick for $30 - get the game for $10.
(if you have it shipped to me, i'll buy the stick for $30 and send you the game...I can't order another one though, i've reached my max of 1)

Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
Both can be had used pretty cheap now. I have seen Injustice and Tag 2 at Gamestops used for sub $20.
As far as non-competitive replayability goes...
Injustice has a pretty fun (and long) story mode that teaches you almost every character's basics. Along with a good training mode and solid practice settings.
Tag 2 has over 50 characters, all with endings to unlock and has tons of costume customization ulocks and great music (also all music from past tekkens that you can get with cheap dlc), also the most robust training mode options ever.
But in the end, I don't know what will wanna make you keep playing games
Both are interesting to me, I am way more into Tekken so there is obvious bias there and I would say out of the two- Tekken takes way more time investments to get 'good' at it.
Hope to see you join in on some stuff soon Noise!

TTT2 is cheap yeah, but Injustice is $35 or $38 or something used at GS. Maybe you saw it cheaper during a sale or something?cha cha wrote:I have seen Injustice and Tag 2 at Gamestops used for sub $20.
Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
@Noise- I guess... I'll check around my area and see what's what.
Also as a reminder to any possible players interested in learning Tekken: On PSN, Tekken Revolution is a FREE to play game. It uses the core elements from TTT2 and teaches you the basics of the game for free (The catch is you get limited online matches that have "tokens" regenerate on a timer, there is no offline vs mode, just offline arcade mode vs AI). But this could tell you a lot about Tekken and whether you will like the game or not.
You can get it now, free, and see if it tickles your FG fancy... before spending on a game you may not like.
If you wanna know more about the differences between Tag 2 and TR, lmk. But I won't keep regurgitating what no one wants to hear

Are there any other gameplay modes? A tutorial or training mode, etc.?cha cha wrote:@Noise- I guess... I'll check around my area and see what's what.

Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
that's cool Chacha. There's also a free version of Ultimate DOA5 which is limited to a small handful of characters.
Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
@ Ack- There is the following:
- Online vs, where you have 5 tokens to start out with, they regenerate every 30 mins to a max of 5. You can play ranked or player(lobby) matches in this mode.
- Arcade, where you play against ten AI opponents bosses included, the better you do on time and life per match, the more 'gold' you get to spend on in game leveling. You get 2 arcade tokens that regenerate once per hour up to a max of 2.
-Practice, where you can have full access to move lists and practice features and hone your skills and combos.
-Character Enhancement, where you get an RPG-like leveling system and have 3 attributes power (dmg increase), endurance (health increase), vigor (critical hit increase). Sadly this DOES carry over into your real matches (you can disable it in player matches though). You can also unlock characters this way as you only start with a limited cast.
There are other special modes for events they run like Mokujin rush to gain more 'gold' and 'gift points'. But to play more often than 2 arcade runs and 5 matches (per 2 hrs), they have you pay for more tokens. You can also buy characters you and DLC outfits, all useless crap around the pay to get what you want model. When you reach milestones in the game it gives you premium tickets, which can be used for online matches or arcade mode, and if you win, you earn that ticket back, so it's like an 'unlimited' token as long as you win...but is gone forever if you lose.
I stress that this is merely a free game to give you a taste of whether Tekken is still for you.
@ Noise- Yea, DOA totally stole this model from Tekken after the initial success TR had
