I haven't run into any issues yet. And yeah, the game is really funny. There were a few times that I was laughing out loud at the humor.

It is the funniest game I have played since Psychonauts, and so far at least, it is many times funnier than that game.
I burst out laughing several times last night, but I was hit especially hard when a former vice president of the United States literally surprised me with a "super cereal" sidequest. ("Psst! Hey kid! Over here!")
I will also add that the combat is turn-based "just like in medieval times."

You guys are gonna make me go out and buy this game, aren't you? Blah, I really want to play it but I know I'll just really start to get into it and DS2 will be out. I must resist!

Apparently, you can get through it in less than 14 hours; so, you might want to rethink the order in which you plan to tackle those games...

Hmm, that's not very long for an RPG at all. It makes sense in a way, especially if the game does feel like an actual episode of the show. Maybe I'll take a little stroll down to EB later tonight...

I have read that playing through the game is about as long as watching a season of the show. I have also read that some people were able to beat the game in under 10 hours, but 14 hours appears to be the average length based on my reading of the various reviews. I suspect that the longer play times are attributable to people exploring the meticulously - and hilariously - constructed world, which is a highlight of the game to me. (So far, South Park seems like a slightly expanded Rogueport from Paper Mario: TTYD.)

Re: South Park RPG
I think the largest problem with this game is that it is like an extremely long episode. It seems fun but I'm having a pretty good time just watching a play-through of it. The RPG mechanics seem well thought out at the very least, but, for me the large majority of the enjoyment I'd get from this game is from the fact that it's South Park. It's kind of a hard sell.

See, I wouldn't want to watch a playthrough of the game just so the jokes wouldn't be spoiled. I'm not going into the game expecting it to be the next Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VII either, so as long as the gameplay is decent, I'll be satisfied.

Re: South Park RPG
The gameplay is very good, and it borrows very heavily from the Paper Mario series. I think that the combat in the Paper Mario games is more exciting and interesting than the combat in 90% of other RPG series, and I already enjoy South Park as least as much as Paper Mario: TTYD. No fan of either the show or the Paper Mario RPGs should miss this game, and just watching someone play through it would be equivalent to just watching someone play through Paper Mario. I would not recommend that, and although watching someone play through this game is probably much more entertaining than watching people play through most RPGs, I think you would miss a lot just watching it.
