Re: Top 5 RPGs
#1 Panzer Dragoon Saga - best combat system I have ever seen in an RPG, hugely underrated.
#2 The Golden Sun games- amazing RPG with some of the coolest attacks of any RPG
#3 Xenogears- an RPG with mech suits and an amazing story? Fuck yes!
#4 Pokemon Gold and Silver- the pinnacle of the Pokemon series in my mind.
#5 Paper Mario Thousand Year Door- The best of the Paper Mario games and hilarious.
I have many more I need to finish but these are my most memorable.
Wait are the Fallout games considered RPGs? If so then New Vegas has to fit in there somewhere along with Skyrim.
Oh crap what about Fire emblem that has to be in there somewhere? What about the GBA Castlevania games? Screw this I need to make a top 10.

Re: Top 5 RPGs
Absolutely not. Mass Effect Trilogy is number one on my legitimate list.cha cha wrote:Am I all alone on 'Mass Effect is the best RPG experience ever' island?
Number two is Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind. Three is both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Four is both Star Wars: Knights One and Two. Five and lastly is pretty much all main series Pokemon games from second generation to fourth generation.
I rolled up multiple games into all top 5 slots that's because it is really difficult to just choose one.
Bethesda, Obsidian, Bioware. One would say my list narrow focused compared to some others but these three know what they are doing to keep me playing constantly.

Re: Top 5 RPGs
The Trilogy collection is only about $30 last I checked.ninjainspandex wrote:I still haven't played Mass Effect.... I should probably do something about that huh?
One day I'll play them. If I could ever get the first to run on my PC.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Top 5 RPGs
If I made a list like this that was based on how much time I spent with it, my list would include: TES Oblivion, Persona 4 Golden, SMT IV, FFIV, and FFX.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
Re: Top 5 RPGs
While I don't feel they're the best ever(I have only played the first, which I admit I thought was quite good), my roommate would likely agree that the first two warrant that consideration. Plus, hey, it's your opinion.cha cha wrote:Am I all alone on 'Mass Effect is the best RPG experience ever' island?
