Noise, how do you like NBA 2k2?

You got me to start playing it again, and it is seriously additive.

2002-2005 was really the best years for basketball games. They came a long way only for the next gen systems to set bball games back 10 years.

I'm playing on the default setting, which is Rookie since I had never played an NFL 2K before. I'm planning to play 2K1 in the next difficulty and then 2K2 in the hardest.

Got these today...

I actually still have my old copy of AF:O laying around, do you guys know if there are still active private servers running it? I quit playing my DC games online when Sega shut down the free servers, it would be cool to play it again after all these years. I tried googling, but mainly just found really old Racketboy and DC-Talk threads.

there are not. The only DC games still playable online as of right now are:

4x4 Evolution
Doom (homebrew port)
Maximum Pool Online
Phantasy Star Online V. 1 & 2
Planet Ring
Quake III Arena
Sega Swirl
Starlancer

AF:O's multiplayer heavily relied on Segas servers. So it may be possible to eventually play the Arcade version online via an emulator, but the console version is sadly a singleplayer affair going forward.

Thanks for the list, I really appreciate it. I'm not really feeling PSO right now but I may have to get in on it down the line. Also, thanks for that definitive answer fastbilly, I found old posts on other boards claiming people were actually working on a private server for AF:O which had me confused. Funny that this came up, TechDirt actually had an op ed about it today. http://www.techdirt.com/articles/201403 ... -own.shtml
