I'm hoping for it to pop up for ~$20 in the Steam Summer Sale

I will pick it up as I generally like and try to support Obsidian releases. I do need to decide if I will go console or PC for this one though...

I'll be grabbing this one pretty soon too, likely after I beat Dark Souls II.

Ordered special edition from Amazon, way back forget when. They screwed it up, shipping today was supposed to ARRIVE today as I paid more like a fool . Oh well, got a refund on shipping and ten dollars to spend later on LOL. Anyone playing it, dying to know if it is good or a piece of garbage.

Holy shit. This game makes up for every shitty South Park game and is awesome on top of that. It really is like playing an episode of the show, and there's a ton of well done references to the show's long history. The combat definitely keeps you on your toes and I've died a few times when I've gotten cocky. I highly recommend this game.

Agreed. I had a lot of fun with this game last night.

The game looks and sounds exactly like the television show. Combat is very similar to the Paper Mario games. (That is, it's awesome.) The battles are challenging, and the game is loaded with hidden items and references to classic episodes. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it is very, very funny. I am very happy with my purchase, and I hope that some of the other RPG fans on here consider purchasing this game.

I've heard that all versions (but especially the console ports), in typical Obsidian fashion, are very buggy. Any issues? This is part of the reason I am planning to wait...

I am about 2 hours into the game, and I have not noticed any issues. I read the Kotaku review where the reviewer complained about "game-breaking" stuttering. Honestly, however, I could not detect the stuttering in the video linked to the article, and I have only noticed it a few times during the game. (Given the way South Park characters are animated, it really is not much of an issue in any event... ) The worst thing I have encountered is NPCs speaking over each other so that you can't understand what either is saying. This does not happen very frequently, however.

(I am playing the PS3 version, BTW.)
