First off, I love my Wii U. That's why it irritates me so much that I've repeatedly been a victim of the fairly common freezing issue that plagues the console. I first experienced problems while playing LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, the console would freeze and buzz loudly during multiple key moments while playing co-op with my gf. Secondly, it seems that Zumba Fitness World Party is also intent on giving me grief. If you ever need to pause the title in the middle of a full class, there's about a 50% chance of the console freezing up altogether - others on Amazon, and a review on NintendoLife, have also noted this issue. No buzzing in this scenario however.
Most of my games run perfectly, and just these two have given me problems so far. But I remember a time when seeing the Nintendo name on a console was a guaranteed stamp of quality. When we were young, my cousin once accidentally dropped his SNES down the stairs and it still worked perfectly. It seems as if those times are no more. I've only had this Wii U since XMAS of last year.
I can only wonder how well these consoles will hold up years from now. I'm buying a new can of condensed air after work tonight, but I really doubt it's a ventilation problem.

Humor me, try disconnecting your console from the internet. I have a hunch that it does this for network reasons. I had it happen quite a few times on my parent's sketchy sattelite connection but never at any other time.

I'll give it a go if it begins to act up again.
I have Bright House cable internet, so my connection is far from shoddy. MH3U handles beautifully. I believe the issue with Zumba is likely a bug with the game, rather than the system itself. Still annoying though.

As far as that goes, the more complex something is, the easier it is to render it inoperable since it is more delicate. Toss a screwdriver off a 5th story roof onto the sidewalk and it's still going to work. Even if it gets bent it will probably still be usable. Toss a powered one and there might not be a big enough piece for you to even try to use it like the manual screwdriver.
