Sometimes plugging in an old console is like bumping into an old friend you lost touch with, and can't seem to stop talking to.

The thing I don't like about most next/last/and previous gen(PS3/360) games is that they are mindless entertainment. My friends ask me (as they do with movies) "what's wrong with mindless entertainment?". My response? "Nothing, unless you have a mind". I'm half kidding.

If a game designer needs to utilize eight buttons for one to play a video game, he/she should be managing people instead of games. A few buttons should do it.

The only real frustrations I have with "new games" (2005+) include the long cutscenes, lack of actual playing the game, "manuals", and long playing times for menial games that you can master in minutes.

If you disagree with any of my comments pm me and I'll send you my address so you can mail me a book of stamps. I won't send you anything back, but I am in need of a book of stamps.

An easy game can never be a great game.

*stabs the phrase "next gen gaming" in the face*

Fuck that stupid stupid phrase. If the hardware in sitting in front of you or you're playing the game, it is current gen. If someone is thinking about hardware that will be out in 6+ months, then it is "next gen".

That's kind of contradicting yourself. Many PC gamers would argue 8 buttons isn't enough and that many games are "dumbed down" by a lack of buttons and yet you're saying that a game should use fewer buttons and that modern games are largely mindless.

I can't agree with this more.

One who thinks this has a very narrow minded view of what a game can be.

*sees steam update window*

"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Fullburst"

What a stupid mouthful of a name for a game.

I agree with the long cutscenes, especially the ones that you don't have the option to skip. I love it when I open up a PS3 game and see that the "manual" is a single sheet of paper with an advertisement for DLC on the front and the game controls on the back. I miss the days when manuals included backstory and character bios and they were in full color.
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

Replaced my 72-pin connector, and the NES is working great EXCEPT for the fact that it won't register when I hit "select." This started happening halfway through Batman, and I have no idea why. Any tips?

Nextgen.

I mean, literally, nextgen. Literally, why would a word literally make you want to shoot yourself? Nextgen is just a word, so don't get upset or you might literally kill yourself.

Could it be your controller or the ports?
