OP should see an ophthalmologist to determine if OP needs specialized lenses to correct this issue. If it isn't eye related, OP should consult a neurologist. That's my advice.

O.p. if by "whoosy" you mean light headed and a bit spaced out, and your not physically tired when it happens, it could be the beginnings of a photosensitive epileptic seizure. A lot of people have no idea they are suseptable until they get exposed to a certain framerate, strobe sequence or pattern (like the famous pokemon seisure episode in Japan). Not saying it is that, but its worth noting.

Hey guys just to give an update. So I saw the eye doctor and I need glasses. Plus I started to sit back a little farther from the tv screen and only play games for 25 minutes or so at a time then I take a break for an hour or so and I went to av cords for right now on my 360. No problems yet. Plus I ended up getting a serious bug anyways so that may have been the issue also. So thanks for all the concerns.

I get motion sick while playing certain games, mostly modern games. A lot of I think has to do with the field of vision you're given and also how jerky the camera can be in certain games. Sometimes my eyes and mind will adapt to the game and it will go away after a while but sometimes I just have to stop playing.

I get car sick if i'm not driving too - so any time i'm a passenger i'll get physically sick.

Unless you're in a two-seater, try sitting in the back seat. It's worked for me.

I used to get car sick a lot as a kid and moving from the back to the front always made me feel better.

Sometimes my eyes and mind will adapt to the game and it will go away after a while but sometimes I just have to stop playing.

For some people it is the dissonance between the motion perceived by the eyes and the lack of motion perceived by the inner ear and balance.

How close were you sitting? One thing that seems like it lines up is that you're having issues with widescreen games and not having them with 4:3. Following that, a reason that some people can have motion sickness issues with FPS games (particularly) is the field of view.
It usually comes up as PC/console port issue, since consoles usually use a narrower view than PC games do. One reason that they do that is because (usually) you're sitting further away from a TV than a computer monitor, and in turn, it takes up less of your actual field of view. Ideally, you want those things to line up.

Stuff like a 70 degree FOV on a PC game tends to give me a headache too.

I was sitting about 2 ft or so now I'm sitting 7-8 ft. i mesured that yesterday. I thought I was sitting away far but I guess not.

I seem to remember Dead Space 1 and 2 giving me some issues as well. The darker environments probably didn't help either.
