So i want to buy a good mousepad for G5 but not very expensive. From some research i heard good things for Steelpad QCK+ but my two problems with this are that is way too big and a bit expensive.
So i am thinking for the regular QCK which is smaller and a bit cheaper. Will it work good with G5? Or someone has any other recommendation? Those laser mouse are picky with surfaces that's why i am skeptical.
Oh and btw i have the latest version of G5 with the two thumb buttons (the blue one)

I use a piece of construction paper, or a text book, or well any rectangular piece of solid coloured material I have laying about the place.

Yes i used such things in the past, but do you gaming on your PC? And more specifically do you play FPS on PC? I don't want to sound like a "pro", a snob or something (trust me on that one) but i want something more than that.lordofduct wrote:I use a piece of construction paper, or a text book, or well any rectangular piece of solid coloured material I have laying about the place.
What mouse do you have?

Had a logitech MX510 for like 4-5 years now. Fantastic mouse. They replaced it soon after with some minor upgrades. It's pretty much the most popular gaming mouse out there.Haruspex wrote:What mouse do you have?

To tell you the truth I use one of those weird reflective ones and stuff... have NO idea what they're called or where to buy it. I ganked it off my buddy Brian.

Oh yes i heard really good things for that mouse as well "his brother" MX518. The shape it's actually almost identical to G5, but the main difference is that the MX510 uses optical sensor and the G5 uses a laser one. I will have a look on that thread to see if anyone mention the G5 anywhere and how it performs.Mozgus wrote:Had a logitech MX510 for like 4-5 years now. Fantastic mouse. The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Just got a Steelpad QCK (the standard edition) and it is simply amazing.
I tried it both on G5 and with the MS Intellimouse Explorer and it's so smoooooooth. Also on both mouses the sensor tracks without any problems.
Highly recommended
