If my dad is close to your dads personality, he's going to want to go back to work exactly when those 5 weeks are up.

But tell him to relax. Even though he wont be. Your dad's going to be eager to get back to work. It seems hes a natural workaholic.

for him the worst thing he could be is not doing what he loves to do.

Many at his age love being able to do everything uninterrupted. They dont want to lose their indepenence at the age they reached.

I know your going to smother your dad with affection, Cliff. And thats okay. But your dads probably going to think that your treating him like a baby.

Tell him to enjoy those five weeks off. He should know as a doctor that rest is important. He must take the same advice he gives to his patients.

You should take a break too. Glad to see that everythings looking up.

Yeah I took this whole week off but next week is going to be chaotic for the other two docs because they must now shift Dads patients to them. So next week I'm going to go help them, I do the testing for dads clinic and I know how to check vision and work up patients so I'll go lend a hand because they are going to be swamped.

But dad knows to take it easy
