How is that trivializing his death? People mourn in many different ways and expressing that through art is certainly legitimate. You may not agree, but his role as Egon was by far his most popular and memorable, so it's no surprise that fans are reaching out in that direction. I applaud anyone taking the time to create something to celebrate the man's life.

In all honesty a better fitting sketch would be Ramis and Hudson kicking Murray in the nuts while giving Dan the finger, and Harold also fingering Weaver' puss in the process.

Not like the guy and I shared a Slushie together, but I can say that he would hate, absolutely hate to remembered especially at his death as "Egon".

I dont know who Lou Reed was, or Frederick Sanger, and i would consider Nelson Mandela a big deal in Africa, but not so much the US. I dont know much about what Mandela did either.

Also Ghostbusters was a huge pop culture staple of the 80's, with the movies/cartoon/toys, with alot of us being in our late 20's and 30's, "Egon" is well known as one of them.

I dont know who Lou Reed was, or Frederick Sanger, and i would consider Nelson Mandela a big deal in Africa, but not so much the US. I dont know much about what Mandela did either.

FYI: Lou Reed was a member of the Velvet Undergriound and arguably one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Frederick Sanger was a British biochemist who won multiple Nobel prizes for his work, which is fundamental to modern biochemistry (i.e., DNA sequencing, etc.).

Because I, like every other member of this community, did not care enough to do so, and I am merely observing who and what we, as a community, think is important.
