flexwood it sounds like you are talking about a voting system per user, not per post like discussed previously. I honestly never thought about a per user system, since our existing system works well enough.

I've noticed an influx of new users making threads in the BST ignoring the two-week rule.

I know it has been brought up before, but surely there must be a way to lock out new users from posting in the marketplace sub-forum?

Having a "First Unread" button whenever searching through threads you've commented on. By clicking this, you immediately jump to the newest unread post in that thread. I'm also a frequent poster on Dakka Dakka, a wargaming site, and this really is a helpful feature to immediately find the last place you left off in a thread.

Sadly that is not an easy to implement feature according to our head database developer.

Just a suggestion.
I block them as often as I can.

There is a first unread icon and link:

I use them all the time. Is there something else you are looking for?

On the regular form style, the 'read unread post' link isn't at the top of the page.

The icon next to the thread title when browsng boards is though.

Huh. It didn't show up for me when I check some posts where the other icon appeared. How odd.
