It all makes sense now. I could never find a CIB copy of Last Blade. Now I know why. Thanks Brad.

The Turf Masters if for Ack, but if anyone wants a cart-only KOF R2, shoot me a PM and you can take it for whatever you think is a fair price. :D

I mentioned in the Games Beaten thread, but I beat Sonic Pocket last night. That game gets a lot of praise, but I must say it's well deserved!

I've recently decided to take the plunge into Neo Geo Pocket gaming. I'm buying two Neo Geo Pocket Colors - one for me, and the other for my girlfriend (who's surprisingly pumped for hers to arrive).

My question is; what games were the most fun for multiplayer on the Pocket/Color? I know we'll be playing Card Fighters, and I know that a lot of games had multiplayer support, but what were your guys' picks for multiplayer?

All of them.

Haha, but seriously, if you like fighting games, SvC Match of the Millennium is awesome, and I believe every fighting game on the handheld has multiplayer via the link cable. And there is the multiplayer Duel Mode for Sonic Pocket Adventure. Puzzle games like Magical Drop Pocket, Puzzle Link 2, and Bust-A-Move all have multiplayer.

this image came to mind:

I'd probably be tempted to buy a link cable and 2nd system so my wife could play some puzzle games with me... but then I'd have to also buy dupes of games which is kind of a drag.

Played Last Blade a bit before bed. Tough game. Amazing spritework. I'm gonna have to see if I can find a movelist.

so I found a FAQ for Last Blade (NGPC) online, and realized that dammit... this is one fighting game that would have really benefited from coming w/ a manual. Some of the moves are insane. Like the crazy strings of Konami-Code-long button presses needed to pull off some of the super moves. Insane.

I made it to (I think?) the last boss of arcade mode but he destroyed me hard. I think I'm going to have to spend some time in the training mode for a while.

Yo!

This thread and the RB Cab Club thread have got me daydreaming about my future game room cab setup fantasy and I've decided, I need an MVS cab. Specifically, I want one of those sit-down MVS candy cabs.

Alas, no room for one at the moment, but that doesn't mean I can't get prepared. Did some Taobao surfing whilst on the john and came across this:
1 slot.png
1 slot.png (119.21 KiB) Viewed 628 times
Price is 380 Yuan, which is about US$62, 37 GBP or 45 Euros. Is that cheap? I know AES consoles are expensive but how much would an MVS 1 slot board typically go for in good condition? He's also selling 108 Multicarts for the same price and I thought I've seen those go for at least $100 on forums or Ebay before.

So anyway, because I'm impatient, I'm considering taking the dive. But my main concern is with compatibility later on when I finally do get a cab to throw it in. How do I hook one of these up? What cables should I make sure the seller includes? Does this thing have its own PSU? I'm guessing I can't jut plug an AES stick in to it, how do I test this thing when I get it to make sure it works.

Basically, oh cool older kids in the playground who play Neo Geo while I jealously look on, Game Boy in hand, two things:

1 - Are these prices good? Should I get them before they're gone?
2 - How do I make sure that down the line I end up with something that works and not just the coolest paperweight in the office?

Thanks!
