Will a JP Sega Saturn memory cart work in an NTSC Saturn?

I can pick up a relatively inexpensive Sega brand Saturn memory cart. Will it work in my unmodded NTSC Saturn?

As far as I know, all add-ons and devices for the Saturn are region free except for the VCD card, which are mostly region-locked depending on the type.

A little follow up. I got a used but complete JP official Sega Saturn memory cart from a seller in Japan for about $15.00 shipped. It arrived today and works great. Even the box is in great shape.

One thing I don't understand about Japanese packaging: why are some of the logos and text on the packaging in English? Why don't they have all items on the packaging in Japanese?

The Japanese have a very complicated relationship with the english language. At times it feels so foreign that it becomes cool to them, and other times it represents a new kind of business formality they can use to appear smart. It is a status symbol for some, and annoying to others. You'll notice many JP games will have titles and even menus written in english. It really depends what they are trying to express. I've been told that english just looks more "special"...anyway...I'm no expert; just saying what a few japanese people have told me.

Some people here might say it is to help things get sold in other countries, but of course something like this was never meant to be sold outside of Japan. But anyway, the majority of them learn quite a bit of english in school (and very well I might add).
