Modded Game Boy stuff ..::Crazy Pikachu appeared!::..

Wow, it took me longer than i expected to finish this console...

This is my second modded console after Trax so i had a little more experience.
The first thing that i did was making a custom glass protection screen. The glass was cut at a glazier and i've made the round corners myself at home with an electric grinding machine. All this because i wanted a clear glass screen that won't scratch easy and looks better.
The protection screen is a little thicker than the original one as you can see in pictures 2 and 3 but it is much clearer and has a better quality.

Of course i made extra replacement screens and i have painted one of them with a Castevania theme:

This ones goes to a friend of mine that is a big Castlevania fan.

Okay, not going to lie; first impression, I laughed when I saw this.

But then I really liked it. Having the buttons for skull eyes and D-pad for a cross shield are nice touches.
Well done and I'm certain I couldn't produce anything so excellent.

It has an intended humorous style, so that's ok :)

I'm trying to use the details of the console in the art, otherwise it would be just a simple drawing on a plastic surface. I want to give a... newer and unique personality to the console...

I still think that it's painted too much... Maybe a little simpler in the upper part would have been better...
In my next project i will try to paint only 25% of the console and leave the rest as it is, maybe only give it another color.

Thanks, any kind of feedback means a lot to me, but positive feedbacks are "the greatest" (spoken with Nacho Libre's mexican accent).

The Castlevania glass screen got to his rightful owner, here is a picture with it installed on the game boy:

Looks pretty different than i'd imagine on a clear console... I had a grey console in mind when i did it. But it looks very interesting imho.

This weekend i have customized a game boy cart.
I wanted to see if i can paint details so small and how the final product looks.
So i've chosen an unofficial Sachen cart that has 4 games made by the Taiwanese company (clones, but not bootlegs or hacks).
This is how the original looked (taken from the internet):

And this is how my version looks:

It sure was fun to do it. My next one will be a Pokemon Red (i've already sketched a weird/crazy looking Pikachu).
