i have a battery pack from a game gear i i want to know what kind of battery it takes and how to open it i have tryed everythibg to open it but nothing helps

ok thanks but i still need to open it i cant seem to get the screws out i have tried pliyers but it did not work

Does it use the screws with the notches around the outside, or the triwing? The site store had stuff for opening both and there's even a coupon right now.

Ok, there are security bit sets with a bunch of types, but the square one is called a Robertson. If you have a random metal shaft scrap lying around and a file, you could file the end into the shape you need and then bend the other end into an L so you can get some leverage. I made a triangular tool like that once for opening up Happy Meal type things.
