After he put money on the table I said to put up or shut up and offered a bet.
He answered with "lol".
He said he'd "put money on it that it is much higher than 20%".
Your proposed bet about Vick isn't about that percentage. You didn't offer a bet that had anything to do with your claim or his critique.
So the bet has to be on his terms?
Not how it works dude.
Okay. I'm fine to make the same bet on the next Steve Young appearance. That said, I still doubt 'Stang would pony up. He made an empty bet, and should be called out. It's a hobby of his to call other people out, so have at you.
This show will be followed by THE SPORTS REPORTERS, which is one of the worst sports shows on cable with pompous out of touch columnists that have been mailing it in for years. One of which has been proven to be a liar and has made up facts for his column.

He never agreed to bet on an individual player's likelihood of showing up at an event. He offered to bet on that the % of NFLers who "volunteer to volunteer" is higher than 20%. There's of course no way to prove this bet for you or him; it is stupid.

Mitch Albom has the haircut of a God.
J.Hill is a jerk. I'll give you that.
$100 bet that Mitch spends more time worrying about covering up his ears than actually attending sporting events in the next calendar year?

I'll see that bet and match you $1,000 that Mike Lupica won't sit still or gesticulate awkwardly for three seconds in any appearance.
@Luke - Serious bet here: I'll bet you your reputation that you have nothing to substantiate the claim that only 20% (or less) of the player-base in the NFL is comprised of decent-good people. How about that? "Put up, or shut up," as you'd say. You shouldn't need the motivation of money to support your argument.
