Games Acquired 2014
Re: Games Acquired 2014
Bujingai has killer music. I didn't get too far last year when I picked it up, but it seemed cool and reminded me a lot of Shinobi (PS2).

^ Congrats.
Word of warning if you're finicky with keeping your consoles clean. The Wii U scratches very easily. My launch unit was treated with great TLC and it still proved futile. Handle with care.

Re: Games Acquired 2014
I shall be careful.
Still debating about whether or not to get a screen protector.
Oh, one thing that irked me: I don't have space to hook it up right now. But I took everything out of the box and looked it over. Then I tried to put it all back in the box.... and couldn't.
Guess it's a sign I should hook it up.

Re: Games Acquired 2014
You don't need a screen protector.
As long as you're not stabbing it or using your nails everything cleans off easily with alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
I've found, personally, the only Nintendo-touch-device that developed scratches was DS, everything else is pretty scratch free.

Oh man, yeah the DS scratched up easily.
Enjoy the Wii U Bone! NSMBU is a mere fraction of the greatness that is 3D World...

Very nice, Bone! I can't wait to hear about your experiences with it.
.....
I took my wife to Asheville this weekend, and (as usual) it ended up being a big buying weekend for me. I soent about $175 and got:
The best deals were:
* the $0.50 and $5.00 Sega CD games;
* the $6 copy of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
* The $8 copy of F1 2009
The most fun finds were:
* Shark Attack (2600)
* the Japanese copy of Gremlins 2 (GB)
* the King of Kings (NES) variant

Re: Games Acquired 2014
February update!:
February
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward 3DS eShop - £9.99
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe 3DS VC - free
Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland PSN - £21.69
Wii Party U (including Wiimote plus) Wii U - £34.99
Steel Diver: Sub Wars 3DS eShop - free
999: Nine Persons, Nine Hours, Nine Doors DS - £16.69
Yggdra Union PSP - £18.69
Akai Katana 360 - £4.99
Total: 8 games: £107.04
So much for going easy this month 0_o. I have to watch my spending a bit more now I have a job!
Zero Escape and Atelier Totori were bought as part of sales on their respective platforms. Zero Escape was actually bought because my girlfriend wanted to play it.
I decided to order 999 from the US so I could play that before Zero Escape too, and ordered Yggdra Union from the same guy whilst I was at it. Both those prices include international postage.
Wii Party U I ordered because I wanted a new Wii Remote plus, and it was cheaper than ordering the remote alone, so why not?
Mario Bros. Deluxe was a freebie in Europe for registering your 3DS to Miiverse. Steel Diver is a free to play game, which I've yet to try out (my girlfriend is hogging the 3DS to play Virtues Last Reward).
Akai Katana I spotted in a shop at an OK price, so I picked it up. I cant turn down a cave shmup for a fiver.
Next Month: I want to pick up Layton vs Ace Attorney, and I wouldn't mind acquiring another modern game or two, as I'm behind on a fair few I want (New Super Luigi, Luigis Mansion 2, Bravely Default, Theatrhythm, DK Tropical Freeze, Sonic Lost World and Danganronpa are all on the list). On the other hand, I also wouldn't mind finally investing in some older stuff I've always wanted (A Link to the Past, Paper Mario, Kirby Air Ride etc etc etc). Either way it'll probably be expensive...
