PS2 Slim - SwapMagic and USB Help Needed

Okay...I'm at my wit's end here...Normally, when I load up SwapMagic in my PS2, it loads just fine, DVD or CD, but if I load it with a USB Thumb Drive in my PS2, all I get is a Black Screen, and I NEED SM to start so I can load some .ELF Files. Does anyone know a fix for this? Also, I have tried putting the USB Drive in my PS2 AFTER SwapMagic loads, but it just freezes upon trying to load .ELF Files.

Make or have someone make you a FMCB memory card.
Load the elf files onto it.

i made this about 10 months ago for another user here on RB forums , i dont believe they used it so i cant vouch that it works.

its FMCB installer CD btw...............

I can't use Free McBoot on my PS2, as it's one of the 9000x Models. Believe me, I've tried. Honestly, I wish it did, so I could play DVD-9 Backups, but sadly, it does not.

ah yes the infamous 9000X model , i recommend going to PSX-Scene or SKS apps forums for help if you cant get an answer here.


me personally id get a Phat PS2 so you can use FMCB there pretty cheap second hand now.................


i mostly use FMCB/ULe/OPL and run games off a Network , theres only 2 games i cant get working but but thats pretty good out of about 70 games i have on my PC Hard Drive.
