Alrighty, so I dont have a Genesis Model 1 AV cable but I do have a Commodore 64 AV cable and the pins look the same. Would this work or would it fry my port?
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

That wouldn't work, the C64 uses a slightly different pinout than the SMS/Genesis.

Not only that but the pins are in the shape of a U on the Genesis and a C on the C64. They aren't actually the same plug.

Actually the C64 uses the same pin arrangement as the Genesis/SMS. Even then that's only for the top three pins and doesn't matter for an AV cable, which only has the bottom five.

Can't you just do that here? RF to the VCR, then composite to the PVR?

Actually I was on crack. C64 (with the s-video signals) and a full Gen 1 (with pass through for 32X) are both U shaped with all the pins. It's just that the usual plug of that type is C shaped, making it harder to find if you're making your own cables. But yes, a cheap AV only Gen 1 cable might only have the bottom few. Though you'd only get audio and either black and white or green only mixing up the cables from the 2 systems.
