RPG Progress Report
Re: RPG Progress Report
Well, I have gone back to Live A Live. I stopped playing it last year when I got to the Oersted story after having beaten all of the initial characters' stories. But I've been able to pick things right back up and am now on my way to finishing the final story before the big all-characters event. I'm thinking I'm going to pick the cowboy as my main character when I get there, just so I don't have to put up with tracking him down.
Re: RPG Progress Report
Are you playing the original Japanese cart, Ack?
I keep wanting to get this game, but the prices that the original cart goes for on Ebay are mostly silly. I haven't bothered recruiting the leg work to get it through other means yet. Should I?

Re: RPG Progress Report
Actually no, I managed to get a reproduction cartridge from Ziggy when he was still making them.
It's a fun game that I enjoy quite a bit, I've just never made the final push to finish it. It's time I do. I recommend it. If you can understand Japanese, you can pick it up cart-only for under $20 on eBay, though going for a complete will put the price at $60+. But it's a fun game that stretches across a lot of thematic genres, and I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it.

Likely a bad life decision, but I purchased Lightning Returns. Normally I wouldn't have time to play, but the FFXIV servers are going down at 8PM EST tonight. So I'll get 3-4 hours of Lightning Returns in.
Re: RPG Progress Report
On my endless list of unfinished RPGs, I finally got into starting playing Grandia.
Also found an old savefile of mine with 22 hours ingame time. Guess that's where I got stuck ,thus never finished the game.

Since I finished FFVI Advance last week, I'm mainly going to focus on Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for now. With a little bit of The Last Story as well.

Re: RPG Progress Report
I am currently playing Crono Trigger for the first time and am enjoying it.
The game isn't that amazing, but it is a decent story so far. People laud the music, but what I have experienced has been pretty annoying to be honest. I don't know we will see!
