As far as I am concerned, both sides are just as bloody as each other.

One minute we're fighting the Islamic brigades, then the next we are supporting them. Don't be fooled by the media, the world isn't as simple as that. I don't know why the West is insisting in supporting the rebels to oust Assad, knowing that they will have an even bigger problem when those said terrorist groups gains enough territory to wage war on surrounding nations like Lebanon and even Israel.

That's what they did with Egypt and Libya. I have no desire to support either side of the Syrian conflict; if it were possible, it would be nice if we could put both down.

Our politicians may seem dumb, but they are actually incredibly smart. But that doesn't make them right. I feel that many of them have ulterior motives and are using other nation's problems for their own benefit.

Well, if both sides are evil then we should be happy about the war in Syria, let the 2 evils kill themselves. That way the rest of the world will be in a better place...don't you think?

Actually, we've already tried this in the Middle East. The Iraq-Iran War. It didn't turn out so well.

The true rebels, those who deserted the army, have been mostly killed by radicals and the army proper. If you try applying a moral compass the needle would spin out of control and stab you in the eye. Still, what we should focus on is ending the suffering, which ought to be unbearable on anyone's conscience.

I don't think that should be our focus either. The conflict isn't ours and there's no pressing reason to make it so. Our role should be that of an onlooker.

Not the kind of intervention I'm thinking really.. But the Geneva talks have demonstrated that the strong-arming behind the scenes didn't work either. What a shitty mess.

What would be sad is not "not intervening" , the sad part will come when one side will be getting closer to victory THEN a foreign intervention will happen to rebalance the stakes because that helps foreigners' long term political plan in the region
