Nah. Even if Iran gets involved it'll remain a regional conflict. China and Russia will only go so far opposing western powers. Unfortunately opinions are like arseholes; everyone has one

Re: So the Islamic world is kind of falling apart...
I'm just sad that Europe is not willing to carry its own fucking weight.
Britain tried but the scars of the Iraq war are too great so I understand that.
France doesn't want to go totally alone because this intervention can't be done by a single European power.
Italy and Spain are too weak economically.
Poland is still rising so it's probably not ready yet to take a leading role.
And all the other countries are too small to do anything unless they are part of a grand coalition of the willing.
All that leaves is Germany, which doesn't mind selling a bunch of weapons to dictators and evil regimes, but is not willing to help when it's really needed.
This is in our neighborhood, there is only a single country between Syria and the first land boarder of the EU, and heck one of the EU's members Cyprus, is right next to Syria. This isn't even about chemical weapons either, this is about being able to protect your own neighborhood. If the Yugoslav wars happened today our reaction would be just the same I'm afraid

I do not think we will ever see a world war 3 during our lifetime because one thing I noticed is countries have a big mouth and keep threatening and create more weapons and bigger armies but no one takes action at all. I think they all learned from WW1 and WW2 that its in no way beneficial to them to go into a traditional war to get what they want.Sano wrote:I don't know if its popular belief that the 3rd world war will start in the middle east, but I have heard and read that belief from a lot of people and places. Does any one on here have this belief![]()
I honestly don't know if I believe that to be true or not. Keep in mind a 3rd world war doesn't necessarily have to be nuclear in nature.
They way they do it now is through dirty politics and bullying. Stop gas, economy sanctions, media war, etc. I heard that super powers found a new plan to get what they want. They do not get involved into a traditional war, but they try to defeat a regime from within its country by raising revolutions and creating conflict. They support some oppositions with money and training and let them fight. Sometimes , conflict rise in the benefit of the super power. One guy here in the forums told me that when Iraq and Iran went to war , USA stood there looking at them. Both regimes considered an enemy, were weakening each other out in the benefit of the USA. Not only that but the USA found financial benefit by selling weapons to both sides.
If regimes today were serious to go into a war, then North Korea, Iran, Russia, USA, China , and England would have fought against each other decades ago, but all we see is talk. Cold war all over again.

Like I wrote before, it's the little people who end up losing the most. Nobody will be able to seek justice for those victims, at least not for years to come. The despot has proven more of a fox than I gave him credit for.
