Maybe I should re-install it or something, but the only menu I get when I lose all my lives is whether or not to continue. Were you playing on arcade mode? I always play on story mode and I'm wondering if that is the reason I can't save replays. When I get home, I'll post a screen shot of my best first stage score, with all the bonuses added.

The peeps on youtube don't know how to play from what I've seen. They just shoot up everything on easy mode and don't try to collect gold.

Try the game on the super difficulty and see if there is a difference in enemies and bullets fired. I've never played it on a lower level. It might not even be possible to collect 67K gold on the default difficulty first stage, unless you don't buy spell cards.

Here's a tip for getting some extra gold and star coins from the first boss.

First, you need the bubble spell card. When the battle begins, wait for the turrets to start firing and create your barrier. When she exposes her laser cannon, activate the card (outside of your barrier) and start blasting at the laser cannon. The bubbles will eat away at her health. When shes down, the bullets from the turrets will turn into large gold coins and star coins from the cannon and turrets. You should be able to defeat her before she fires the cannon.

Depending on how good you do, you can get up to 5k+ gold from the boss.

Edit: My highest score on 1st Stage.
Also confirmed that replays can only be saved in Arcade mode.

Here is my first official replay. I've had better games in story mode, but no replay feature in it. I gave up at the fourth stage, when I got hit by one of torches. They are so annoying when they get in front of you when you're trying to hit those bath tubs. Made some dumb mistakes on stage 5, so I went ahead and bought the 58k Gold aqua CD just to see how far I could go.

Put the replay in C:\Program Files\Studio Siesta\TroubleWitches\Replay\Version 1.13

It will be under the 2nd slot under your super hard replay section.

Hats off to you. You kick way more ass as this game than I ever will. I'm probably going to stick with trying for the 1cc on the default difficulty level.

Because of the possible accumulations of gold in the higher levels of difficulty, a high score on the default level is lower than you should ever get on the highest difficulty level. I think something like 35,000 gold is possible on default in level one (just pulling this out of my ass), and I would usually get like 17,000. Have you played the lower difficulty levels? They shoot a fraction of the bullets on the harder levels.

I can't wait to try the bubble trick on the first boss. Hopefully I can get it to work.

I haven't watched the replay yet, I don't have a rar unzipper here at work, but I should at home. I tend to post more at work, since playing games is far more fun than posting about them.
