Well, there was the Karaoke add on and theprototype Zip drive.noiseredux wrote:Like Sega was talking about how they wanted the DC to be this console that would get upgrades and revisions rather than just making a "Dreamcast 2." It's almost like they were thinking of the console as a PC - or perhaps took some inspiration from their arcade division.

Never played it and up to this point owning a PS2 has been sacrilegious to me lol. I hear some slowdown, pixels drop during combat and other such abnormalities. Some say its not to bad. Depends if you want to pay 35ish for the DC version or $10 for the pS2 version.stickem wrote:Isn't there a remix version on the ps2, new character or something and extras?dunpeal2064 wrote:It should be pretty cheap on the ps2

ah right the magazine mentioned that pricing model as well. Remember when you could get a rebate of the price of the system if you signed up for 2 years of SegaNet? I guess Sega was really interested in that idea going forward of basically paying for a service instead of for their hardware.bacardipr05 wrote:I remember reading somewhere a while back and for some reason it stuck in my head. That SOJ president initially wanted more Ram in the DC basically it would be a Naomi. I think Sega did envision the DC as a potential to be PC like and to have other features. Even when it met it demise there was talk about incorporating DC technology into other venues. Here's a link to one such idea. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/sega-a ... 0-2681885/

The one thing I wish is that the import shmups would go down in price. I can't afford those games.

Agreed. If I could pick up Border Down, Under Defeat, and Zero Gunner 2 I would be able to pretty much retire from Dreamcast collecting altogether.mas wrote:The one thing I wish is that the import shmups would go down in price. I can't afford those games.
