Can you really call it a game in the Shining series now? It would be different if it was an RPG that had a fighting game combat system somewhat like the Tales series, but....I mean....really? Is this because of Persona's fighting game? I am confused.

There's a distinct lack of Bowie and centaurs in that video.

watch it be a 2D fighter thats only for iOS and is "Free to play" :lol:

The Shining series hasn't really been "gone" - they just haven't been localizing the games. :x

On a side note, anyone know if the PS2 and GBA Shining games are any good?

The ps2 games are...alright for a hack and slash game. The GBA version of the original Shining Force is really cool, they added some new elements like a card system in it. It is worth checking out.

It's been gone since the Saturn died. They just keep releasing games with the word "Shining" in the title.

At best this is a spinoff title. Shining isn't even in the title. It's been reduced to the role of subtitle. At least it looks decent.
