I'll probably never have the money or room to own arcade cabinets but if I did Outrun would be near the top of the list.

To add to your jealousy, I had to stop playing last night because my foot started to hurt. I have been playing too much lol

Once you master it, go and grab the Turbo update.
Turbo never clicked with me like the original Outrun did(granted I was pretty young the last time I played turbo) but it could be a nice change of pace in the future. I'll look into that!

Never say never! Owning an Outrun cabinet a couple years ago was just a pipe dream for me. Now look at me..... playing Outrun in my living room like a boss.

Room is always an issue, as is moving things. But cabs pop up randomly for stupid cheap prices. I almost bought a Raiden and a Raiden 2 set of cabs for $200 about ten years ago. But someone outbid me and our truck probably could not have handled another set of cabs.

I didn't remember Outrun being a standup cab.

Its amazing how low some can go for. If I had the space and the money I would probably never leave my house with all the arcade cabinets you can find online for cheap. I found a single Daytona sit-down the other day for close to $375 obo that just needs a little work to the cab and wheel.

Yup! They made two types of stand-ups. The stand up mini and stand up deluxe. Major difference only being that the deluxe had wheel feedback for when you crash/go off the road.

Thanks! After owning it for a week, I can say with confidence that I made the right choice by buying it. Had way too much fun playing all weekend with a buddy of mine. Hard as nails tho even just set on normal. Could never make it to the 4th round no matter how good of a run we had. Ending up giving up after many hours and setting the timer on easy. All that did was add 5 seconds to the starting time!
