You don't know what Worlds of Power is?

Hey Bob, these guys don't know about Worlds of Power *shakes head from side to side*.

Worlds of Power was a series of books written by different authors but I believe all books are credited to FX Nine (which was a pseudonym) . The books were rather short, but great reads for kids as they focused on stories within the early Nintendo-verse. The books also contained hints and sometimes even cheats to the game you were reading about.

The Castlevania book starts out with some kid getting bullied in the school bathroom, and then Simon Belmont materializes. The book goes on about his long golden locks of hair, bulging muscles, and tight leather pants. Check 'em out.

This sounds like the single greatest work of 20th century fiction. I think I will have to track these down.

Looked up the books online.

Love how there's a Bases Loaded II book. Is the "story" that different from the first game?

So this is from the Simon's Quest era then? He has red hair in pretty much every other appearance.

According to Wikipedia:

"The PlayStation game Blaster Master: Blasting Again, a sequel to the original Blaster Master, canonized some of the original elements from Peter Lerangis' novelization of Blaster Master. Particularly the character Eve, who was not in the NES game, appeared in Blasting Again. Lerangis stated that he felt "honored" for the privilege."

That is awesome.

What exactly is Solid Snake doing with his hands here? (I also wonder how many pages of the Metal Gear novel are dedicated to fumbling with key cards. If it is anything les than 1/3 of the novel, then it is not very true to to the game.)

I have a pretty awesome* book which is a novelisation of Golden Axe. Ax Battler is the protagonist, and it's surprisingly accurate to the game. The turtle of turtle village is much chattier though.

*Disclaimer: May not actually be awesome in any way

Just looking at that book makes me miss filling out my scholastic book order form.
