I'm still confused as to why Pharrell is "the last talented half." Please elaborate as to how Chad Hugo is the more talented half?

I also agree w/ your wife. You were probably man made in a lab like the incredible hulk and don't even realize it. "Happy" is, well... happy.

Chad can basically play every instrument, and exceptionally well at that. He's a genuinely gifted musician. Pharell is crazy creative, but without Chad I doubt he'd be famous.

But I don't like Happy so I may be insane. But maybe you're insane for not knowing the Hulk's origin. He was a regular guy who got gamma bombed.

I can't really deny nor confirm how accomplished a musician Chad is. Whether or not he'd be famous w/o Chad is questionable. I mean, Pharrell was working w/ Teddy Riley when he was in his teens. You know Pharrell wrote the "rap" in "Rump Shaker" right? But in fairness, you're right that Pharrell did not have any real public recognition until his work w/ Chad in The Neptunes.

Regardless, I think Pharrell is one heck of a talented guy. He's produced mountains of great music for himself, NERD and many, many other artists from genres all over the map. I've got nothing but admiration and praise for the guy.

The Hulk thing was actually a reference to The State skit where there's an argument about penguins not being "natural."

EDIT: I guess I was thinking about the first NERD record where most of the instrumentation were done by Spymob. After that it was pretty much Pharrell and Chad + drummer right? Either way, they both played stuff so I can't really say who was more talented as far as playing instruments goes.
